    1. Reviewed at The Romance Reviews.A PIRATE'S PROMISE is a story of misunderstandings and missteps leading to love on the open seas. Though a lady, Elizabeth has trouble holding her tongue and biding by society's rules. When she meets Lord Eddington at a ball she fears he will expose her true nature and ruin her reputation. Which she absolutely cannot allow.Despite her older sister's vehement protests, Elizabeth Cameron is about to make her come out in society. Elizabeth's first ball does not go at [...]

    2. DNFThe story began with two adult sisters fighting one another on whether or not they could both have a season (Regency speak for catching a husband). These ADULTS, who are old enough to marry and procreate, battle one another, destroying their father's study, nearly burning the place down while the father's pants catch fire. The mother calls them children. I had a difficult time with this portion, because I would have not allowed either 'child' to have a season after that, and then tossed their [...]

    3. Astonishing Firstly, I don't normally wrote reviews but the magnitude of how much this book moved me has forced my hand. I have been in a time of great grief and depression and my boyfriend and I haven't been doing well lately. Then I read this book, which sounds ridiculous, but I think I just needed to fall in love again. This book is the epitome of love. Truly amazing work and I recommend this to anyone who wants to remember what it's like to love fall in love.

    4. The book started off OK then kept getting better. I like how overtime things move along in the right direction but there is always a glitch in the characters that remind me they aren't who they pretend to be. It is important to keep in mind the ages of the characters while reading the book because some parts seem to make me question their behavior and would have to remind myself their ages.

    5. Good readI almost stopped reading because the beginning was a bit slow but as the book progressed it became really good and couldn't stop reading. Very well written
