    1. A big thank you to the author for providing a copy of this book! This does not affect my review. The thoughts and opinions expressed below are my own.Sanguine by Monique Snyman is the sequel to Enticed and picks up with a haunting prologue starring Lisa, Milosh, and Romulus. A vampire civil war threatens to break the Alliance and it is up to Milosh to stop it. With Romulus and Lisa on the outs and Milosh out of town, Lisa is left as the only Alliance member to face the Goblin King. To make matte [...]

    2. I was extremely excited to get my hands on Charming Incantations: Sanguine. After reading the first book, I couldn't wait to jump back into the paranormal fantasy world the author has created. This book has vampires, shape-shifters, werewolves, witches, banshees, goblins, trolls. Not to mention my favorite vamp, Milosh, who I wanted more of.The book is geared to the Young Adult crowd but I didn't mind. The second installment continues to follow Lisa, the Human Representative caught in a world of [...]

    3. 4.5 stars.*Warning: may contain spoilers* This is Book 2. I didn't read book 1 and I wasn't lost at all, so it could be a stand alone just fine. Opens with chaos, overturned furniture, and a werewolf attack is mentioned. It completely fills you in that Lisa's (real name Elizabeth) father is the Goblin Lord and she'd dated and broken up with the hot werewolf representative Romulus (LOVE that name!), nickname Rome, and there's plenty of talk around the small town about how she'd broken his heart, [...]

    4. Absolutely LOVED this book!!! I read it within 24 hours because I just couldn't help myself, I had to know what was going to happen next! We get to delve deeper into the characters we met in book #1 Charming Incantations: Enticed; and we are introduced to new ones - some of whom really spice things up. The plot twists are insane, well thought out by the author and kept me hooked; and this time there was a few different storylines happening but they tie in very well with each other. Lisa's charac [...]

    5. In this charming sequel, we are able to check-in with our favorite characters and see where their lives have taken them since the last book's conclusion. We are also introduced to some new faces to keep things refreshing. I was happy to see where Lisa had ended up at the start. She has found a place to settle and is trying to maintain a somewhat normal life, including having a normal job for when she isn't seeing to her Human Representative duties. Lisa has grown a good bit, especially emotional [...]

    6. I'll be the first to admit that I'm probably not the target audience of this youthful, Buffy-style entertainment. YA is not 36. Nonetheless, it was fun, fresh, and quite innovative in a few places. There are vampires, witches, werewolves, shape-shifters, and - my favourite - banshees, and together with humans, all stand as one against the yak that is goblins and trolls. The characters are lovable, which keeps you reading, and the sexy scenes are sexy, (but with no actual sex). All good. Disclaim [...]

    7. I'm sorry to say this, but I did not enjoy this book. It had a lot of Twilight references, and a lot of mature topics and scenes (which I don't like in books), and I still don't like the main character. In the first book Lisa says she's a farm girl who never wore heels in her life, but now suddenly she goes to war, wearing heels. I liked the action parts though, and thought it was awesome. The writing style is better in this book than the first one. But I'm just one of those people who don't enj [...]

    8. wow what can i say about this but amazing!! i felt every bit of laughter pain and love which this book was written with i didnt think it would be possible to be as good as the fist it was actually better and i loved the first book all i can say is a must read thank you monique i read this in 1 day could not put the book down now wheres the next one i gotta read that im totaly addicted to the story and chars xx

    9. Absolutely brilliant! I happily slipped back into this wonderful, colourful world that Monique Snyman has created. Once again I had extreme difficulty getting on with my daily chores & eventually had to cancel everything so that I wasn't torn away from this lovely story. I was very disappointed when the book came to an end and now have to wait patiently for the next one! Thank you so much Monique - looking forward to the next one ;-)

    10. I started and finished in one sitting. If I thought book 1 was good I was definitely unprepared for the brilliance of book 2. It's the first book I've cried in since Delports Rainfall. It's going to leave you wanting so much more but it's the best follow up book I've read in a long time. Well done Monique. Seriously well fucking done.

    11. This book was better by far. First issue is the cover, what does the blonde girl have to do with anything, and since there are no actual sex scenes its a bit overkill. You want to grab attention put you vampire on this one and the werewolf on the first one or depict Lisa in her egular country wear on the first and her as a warrior on the second. And the font is again a bad choice because it makes my head hurt.Second major issue, if your going to create a military character do the research. First [...]
