    1. ”If you can’t fool yourself,” he said, “how can you expect to fool anybody else?”This was such a fun read! =))I’ve always loved Janet Evanovich’s books and this one certainly gave me everything I craved for. Lee Goldberg and Janet once again didn’t just manage to keep me thoroughly entertained but also caused me to laugh out loud. XD In short: They did an amazing job! ;-PKate O’Hare and Nicolas Fox are just too much fun and if I’m entirely honest I really want them to get it [...]

    2. Find all of my reviews at: 52bookminimum/2.5 StarsKate O’Hare and Nick Fox are paired up once again for Book #2. This time, the duo needs to swap a forged national treasure, currently held in the Smithsonian, for the real deal which was stolen by Carter Grove, a former White House Chief of Staff turned thief. But Kate and Nick can’t just let it go with the return of the stolen property. They aim to finally put Carter Grove behind bars. What better way to out crook a crook than by pulling off [...]

    3. 3.5I find myself unsure of how to rate/review this one. I like the entire premise of this new series, but it’s missing something. I mean, this really could be a great television show. Its ultra fast paced and the characters are snarky funny. I did suffer a bit from geographic schizophrenia though. They travel so much in this one book they earned platinum card status. There was just so much crammed in.Kate and Nic make a great team and them working together is pure gold. But it really is lackin [...]

    4. I loved this! It was so hilariously funny! Janet Evanovich always makes me laugh, and these two are quite a team! I had to read some parts aloud to my husband!“You have a very overprotective father,” Nick said. “When you were a teenager, how did he greet your dates? With a flamethrower?”“With a foot-long combat machete, just like the one he gave me for my twelfth birthday.”“Every girl should have one,” Nick said.

    5. 2.5 STARS”Bing Crosby? Really?” Nick asked. “That’s who you see when you look at me?”Gelman gestured at Nick’s reflection in the full-length mirror. “Who do you see? Pitbull? Jay-Z, maybe?”“Do you even know who they are?”“Just because I’ve had a hip replacement doesn’t mean I’m not hip.”To be fair it wasn't everywhere. Mostly here and there.I can’t really say I was disappointed with the second instalment in Kate and Nick’s infinite playlist of barely there sexua [...]

    6. 4.5 starsLooooooved it! This series is hilarious and so much fun. Kate's dad is my absolute favorite character. I want one.I also want Nick and Kate together so bad!

    7. Totally enjoyed this one, it's fast, funny, entertaining, definitely can tell what Janet Evanovich wrote and went it felt like it was a TV Show, guess that was Lee Goldberg's part. Just like with Stephanie Plum, she creates a totally new character FBI Special Agent Kate O'Hare a likable one, that's tough as nails and likes Toblerone Chocolate Bars. It's kind of an international thriller, as the dynamic duo of Kate and Nick take trips from LA to Glasgow, break into the Smithsonian, then end up in [...]

    8. This review can be found at: Carole's Random LifeI received an advance reader edition of this book from Random House Publishing Group and Net Galley for the purpose of providing an honest review.1.5 StarsI must say that I am rather disappointed in this book. I have been a long time fan of Evanovich and have insisted that many of my friends and family read her books. These books have had a history of being easy to read with some laughs, colorful characters, and silly fun. Her books have suffered [...]

    9. I received a copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.I'm so glad I received an advanced copy of this book, I was drawn in from page one and didn't want to put it down. This story starts off with O'Hare and Fox on a case to replace a fake bronze rooster with the real one that was stolen from the Smithsonian years ago. The Chinese officials want it back in China in two weeks and if they find out the one in the Smithsonian is a fake it would cause some major trouble between the two cou [...]

    10. Thoroughly enjoyed this action-packed romantic suspense. I loved the first book, even though I've not read any of Evanovich's other books. The pairing with Goldberg is what first caught my attention and this book is even more non-stop action than the first. What I really liked was that the plot never seemed to end; there were a few objectives and as each was reached a new threat would develop and a new objective would ensue this made for a very fast paced-plot with no dull moments. I'm not norma [...]

    11. 3.5 StarsKate and Nick go after an ex White House Chief of Staff to smooth international relations. This felt like a con and diplomatic mission combined. We meet Nick's mentor. The bond between Kate and her dad is heart warming. Someone new in the crewHis wife had left him and taken the dog. And his Lexus had been repossessed. He sometimes thought he’d like to become an alcoholic, but he couldn’t afford the liquor.Boyd is the coolest method actor. A true artist.I’m a pancake asking this fam [...]

    12. Great characters, exciting plot, and adventure, adventure, and adventure.Fox and O'hare are becoming my favorite characters. One is smart and the other witty. Love the supporting characters, who play parts in the schemes this conman and FBI agent dream up. Can't wait for the next book.

    13. This one starts out with a blast, literally, a bomb has gone off and its sets off the alarms of every bank around. So, what’s going on? Some crafty thief has planned the perfect distraction to a heist. Nicolas Fox is a master thief and he almost gets away, except FBI agent Kate O’Hare recognizes him in his faux police uniform and points her gun at him…he winks and drives away. And so begins the tongue in cheek banter and antics of this unlikely pair as they attempt to steal back a valuable [...]

    14. LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! I had a very hard time putting it down. It's fast paced, action packed, humorous, and written by two people who no how to entertain a reader. Love the dynamics that take place between the hero and heroine, Nick and Kate. I also love how once again Janet supplies us with other very likable characters that add so much to the story - Kate's father, a retiree that is always looking for more adventures in his life and willing to live vicariously through his FBI agent daughter and [...]

    15. I am really enjoying this series. FBI Agent Kate O'Hare and her partner Nick Fox have to steal a famous Chinese sculpture and switch it for a fake one that is going back to China from the Smithsonian. Kate has been chasing Nick for years as he is a famous thief. After their last adventure, they have become partners (reluctantly on Kate's part)and are used to work cases that are outside the normal boundaries of the FBI.As in the first book, co-written by Evanovich & Goldberg, this book is a g [...]

    16. This was a solid 3 stars for me. I liked the first one in this series better than this one. The female MC was a more consistent character. I didn't get the dual vibe here this one she was less bimbo-esque and more FBI agent. I liked the characters more here and overall, I liked the story. But I had one problem that I couldn't overlook. So many elements were so improbable. Drones, weapons of every kind, mercenaries, thieves, flights available at the drop of a dime, and a whole lot of other things [...]

    17. Reviewed for herding cats & burning soup.: amzn/2mR0E5vOh this series was fun! Fox and O'hare follows and FBI agent heroine ande con man she's been hunting for years. Who are now having to work together as a team to tackle off the books missions the FBI can't officially get involved with. Fun banter, captivating characters, a little danger and adventure. A fantastic time all the way around. The Characters:Fox and O'hare were as different as night and day and, yall, I LOVED their dynamic. She [...]

    18. The Chase by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg is a 2014 Bantam publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Nick Fox is a crafty thief with expert skills and this gets him a free pass to help the FBI bring down a criminal ring that includes none other than Carter Grove , the former White House Chief of Staff. When a priceless Chinese artifact is stolen from the Smithsonian, Special Agent Kate O'Hare gets teamed up with the infam [...]

    19. FBI Special Agent Kate O’Hare continues her partnership with master thief, Nick Fox, who is now working to bring other criminals to justice. Their main target is ex-White House chief of staff and now head of a massive private security company, Carter Grove. Turns out he has illegally acquired a collection of stolen fine art, including a priceless Chinese relic from the Smithsonian that is to be returned as part of better U.S. international relations. Fox and O'Hare run a decent, and then have [...]

    20. Such a fun read! Nick & Kate are great together and I enjoyed the appearances of favourite characters from the last book. The mystery/heists were interesting, I wonder what they will come up with next. I think I've found my new Stephanie Plum books if Evanovich ever decides to finish that series. This series is definitely worth a read if you love the Plum series.

    21. I liked The Chase better than The Heist, which I gave 5 stars! I was hooked from the start to the end. I hope there will be a lot more books in this series!!!

    22. I don't like giving out 5 star ratings too often (cheapens the award). But this series was awesome by my comedic standards. Genius conman (Nick Fox) and FBI cutie (Kate) take on an American political thug and His mercenaries. They threatened her family --- so even Grandpa Jake gets to re-unite his war buddies for some insane take-down action.Willie drives an oil tanker to her possible doom?! And best of all: nick and Kate steal a billionaire's 69 Dodge Charger for an airplane to street chase thro [...]

    23. So I'm halfway through "The Chase" by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg when it hits meThis book series (which could easily be turned into a television series) is a modern day "Remington Steele" (minus the movie references)! You knowe freakin' awesome 1980s detective comedy series starring the sexy-as-sin Pierce Brosnan *grrrrrrr* as thief/con artist turned good guy detective Remington Steele and the wonderful Stephanie Zimbalist as straight-laced private investigator Laura Holt. Only in Evanovic [...]

    24. The Chase continues the adventures of Kate and Nick as they go after a former White House chief of staff. My thoughts on this book largely remain the same as the first one. It's a cute action packed adventure full of dad jokes and amusing banter that gets brought down by a relatively uninteresting plot and flat character interactions. While the first book took a long time to develop - this one got right into "the chase" fairly quickly. Unfortunately, this came at the expense of character develop [...]

    25. I have read many books by Janet Evanovich, but this is my first foray into the Fox and O’Hare series with Lee Goldberg.I love mysteries/suspense/thrillers, so this action packed, roller coaster ride is right up my alley and did not disappoint. There is danger and laughter that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.FBI Special Agent Kate O’Hare is a true patriot. She believes in apple pie and the U S of A. She has spent five years of her life chasing Nicholas Fox. When [...]

    26. Tahle dvojka mě baví :-) A i když je to místy šílené a velmi neuvěřitelné, je mi to úplně jedno :-)

    27. This is such a fun series and an easy read. Lots of action and interesting (and actually funny) characters in Nick and Kate. This series is less silly than Janet's other series and I appreciate it (though I love them all). I'm glad Kate has stopped pretending she hates Nick so very much and can actually get along with him and even enjoys her time with him. I'm sure it's a budding romance, but I appreciate that it was a sudden shift from hate to love. I love reading about the elaborate cons they [...]

    28. 4.5 stars.Phew - what a ride! It's been a long since I read a book within such a short time. This is exactly what I call a page turner.Fox and O'Hare couldn't be more different, Fox a thief on the most wanted list and O'Hare an FBI agent, but together they're a great team! The book starts with them recovering a bronze rooster which was stolen from the Smithsonian years ago. But it's not only the rooster they find, but so much more. And so begins story that takes them to China, Scotland and Canada, [...]
