    1. okay, yeah, maybe there are shapes in this book other than rectangles, but the cut out/box is the main feature, so really this book is only serious about rectangles. overall decent toddler book though

    2. Darn it! Another wonderful book without the cover picture! This Christmas shape book is truly fun to read!As each animal opens a present, the box gets smaller! It starts with a large square shaped box. Penguin opens it and discovers two red stockings for him.The fun continues with Rabbit finding a round and jolly snowmanBear finds a green snowflake.Reindeer a patterned sleighCroc a row of green Christmas treesPuppy finds a set of red pointy starsd then they all see the smallest box containing pape [...]

    3. So many times the text of board books are too old for those very young children who will actually look at them. This one straddles that line, the text will be understood, but the last gift opened which encourages children to creativity make their own shapes is better suited for the older preschool set. And the book is heavy for young children.

    4. I have really enjoyed Litton's books. The graphics and verse are always excellent. I found the end of this book somewhat odd, but it's still a good read for children.
