    1. This was a textbook for Home Economics students, and was made to teach girls how to dress correctly and appear socially acceptable. There are WONDERFUL photos of fashions from the 1950's being modeled by the "Maid of Cotton" girls from the National Cotton Council. Apparently each year a new "Maid of Cotton" was selected, as there seams to be pictures of several years' worth of them in this book. Also pictures of Mrs. Dwight D.
