    1. Overshadowed Hope is the story of Missy. She feels she has had a tough life, and it seems that the pressure is building from all sides – her classroom, her family, her lost love, and most of all herself. Missy is miserable but doesn't realize it. She is lonely even though there is family around her. Her worst enemy is herself, and it is slowly killing her. I really liked Missy. She is very complex character, and her emotions were brought out well in the story. As I was reading I could her hurt [...]

    2. Time for me to "review" my own book. I started writing this story in September of 2013 and I've just now finished the first draft. It's been an emotional roller coaster for me while writing this book. I came up with the idea for it while taking a day trip with my family to pops on route 66 in Arcadia Oklahoma. The drive reminded me of the trips we used to make to the family farm before it was sold. Wrapped in those memories of visiting the farm was that of my cousin. She loved the farm and wante [...]

    3. Missy is a teacher. she seems to be dealing with a lot of family issues and has a major complex about her body. She is in a race to decrease that stubborn bit of fat that clings to her tummy. In the process she reaches a pathetic 75lb!!!I found the first half to be a diary of whines!!!While I can empathise with Missy's problems, I think they are a bit too exaggerated!Plus Missy- Prissy (her cat)- rhyming pair- a BIG no!!!

    4. I received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review.I feel like I made the right choice on requesting a copy of this to review. I'm relieved that I didn't miss out on this book as this was a pretty nice and quick read. The story is about a woman named Missy who had eating disorders. At first, she seemed like a tough character to me, but after reading for sometime, I realized that she's not as strong as I thought. Throughout the whole novel, she'd been through a lot of problems a [...]

    5. Overshadowed Hope is not the typical book I chose to read, but I am so glad that I did read this one! Author Becca Nyx provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. So here it is: Missy, the non-traditional heroine, whose life is a roller coaster complete with loops, sharp turns, and abrupt stops is struggling with her own set of demons. In this heart wrenching story, Missy is struggling with her self-image and self-worth. Although she attempts to come across as strong and solid [...]

    6. I was given an electronic copy of this book for an honest review. Although is book showed a lot of promise, I could not get past the fact that there were so many grammatical and spelling errors. With a good amount of editing and fine tuning, this book would be a more emotionally moving story. The author clearly has a lot of knowledge on the subject of eating disorders and how it affects a person's life. The errors just got in the way of this story.
