    1. I quite enjoy this book; it tends to be mysterious for much of it. Any time I get an answer, other questions spring up. A book / movie / etc. that I do not predict every step of the way is rare so I love the element of surprise that Faye manages to maintain. Another thing I enjoyed about this book is the manner in which the characters speak to one another - the dialogue is more true to life than most of what I read. Comfortable, casual a.k.a. believable. As it happens I'm loving a quotation fro [...]

    2. Oh my GodsWell I didn't see this coming. A wonderful story about a troubled young woman. She doesn't turn into a butterfly she turns into aNope I'm not telling. But I am saying I'm ready for the next book. Thanks Kimberlie.

    3. WowSuch a good book. The main characters has a lot of issues trying to understand. But two hot guys wow. One bad one not so bad. Hated the end. Loved the sex scenes simple but great. Loved the character with wings! Hot!

    4. Interesting and filled with Greek mythology. I found the beginning was a little awkward, that is until you learn about the main character Evie. Evie always had special abilities, like knowing the life span of an individual. Making a living as an 'end of life' nurse Evie gives those she know are dying a sense of peace. During a stormy night Evie finds herself taken from everything she knows. Fate is strange like that. The Allotter is the first book I've read by Kimberlie Faye, I found there to be [...]

    5. The Allotter is a story based on Greek mythology. I was slightly confused in the beginning. I’m not sure if that was by design or not. However, it worked for me. The main character, Evie, was also confused about the changes occurring in her life. I learned as she learned which made things interesting. Although Evie has always had the ability to tell when someone is dying, a gift that has shaped her life and career, she is in denial and wants to believe she is a normal human. As strangers (with [...]

    6. The Alotter is the first book in the Threads of Destiny series. Evie is a woman who works as a nurse that feels like her life in incomplete. She suffers from insomnia and when she does sleep she has weird dreams that have been messing with her mind. Add to the fact that she can know how long a person will live and their death. Since she has been 7 she can see a persons whole life right up until their death. When she runs into 2 men who fight over her on on a road during the night she gets some a [...]

    7. Mysterious!I was taken right away with this book. The Allotter is so mysterious. Just as I thought I might know what was happening the story throws you a curve ball. Evie is a End of Life nurse going about her daily job and life when she is thrown a curve ball and pretty much taken without her consent. To make an amazing story short, you just have to read it to appreciate it.Evie finds out that her mother Thelma aka Themis is The Greek God Titan of Devine law and order. And by the was her father [...]

    8. This story based on Greek mythology, LOVE that!!!Evie, has things happening in her life that are confusing her to no end, love that we find out when she finds out so we keep guessing along the way. Evie has the ability to tell when someone is dying, a gift that has helped her, but she just wants to believe she is a "normal human". As others with abilities come into her life and know her she still hopes that her life is as she has always been. :) Not so much!!!Loved that this is a first book, I l [...]

    9. This book is unusual to say the least. The beginning keeps you guessing for a while as strange events start to happen to Evie. You start to get little hints about what is happening until your teased with thoughts of the greek gods. What happens when the gods are threatened? well there is an unusual theory in this book. My curiosity kept me going and by the end I found myself really interested in what was going to happen to poor Evie. Is she going to make it? Will she come to terms with what is h [...]

    10. I enjoyed reading this book. It started off a bit slow for me but once it picked up I hated to put it down. This story is about Evie who has had a special gift aince childhood. She kept that gift to herself mostly and used it to live some what of a normal life. Evie leaves her home one night headed to work and her world is forever changed by the events that follow. Evie is set on a path to find out who she truelly is with a few big reveals for her along the way. So much is still unknown so I can [...]

    11. The Allotter: The Threads of Destiny has a mesmerizing plotline that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. Evie is a character who faces the struggle of dealing with gift of knowing the length of the lives and the eventual deaths of everyone around her. A difficult gift for anyone to bear, but Evie is a strong person and the way she deals with her gift is admirable. The other characters are well formed and the interactions that they have with Evie are interesting. It was hard to put this book down. The [...]

    12. I am new to this author so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not left disappointed!!! The Allotter: The Threads of Destiny is fast paced and vividly imaginative!! I felt like I was experiencing everything that Evie was. With every word devoured and every turn of the page I could feel myself getting more and more intensley involved and mesmeriszed. I can't wait to find out what happens next. If you do nothing else today, Please experience this wonderful gem of a book.

    13. What a great first book!! Evie doesn't understand why she can see peoples whole livestock by up to their exact time of Death. Between having strange dreams and insomnia what else can go wrong?? Well, Evie isn't exactly who she thinks she is, but she doesn't know it, and when strange men with wings!!! show up, her life is changed forever

    14. This was such a fascinating story about a girl, Evie, whom has the ability to tell when someone is dying. I thought the story was very creative and I fell in love from the first paragraph. The book was a mystery from the very beginning and it kept me hooked!! Can't wait for the rest of the series!!!

    15. Short but interestingAn interesting mythology story that peeked my curiosity. It started off slow for me and took a bit to get into by the time I did it was over. But I did like the concept and am interested to see where it goes.

    16. GoodThis is a good book. It's about a woman who in the end finds out she isn't what she thought. This book has some action, magic and mystery. The characters turn out to be Greek gods and goddesses. So get it and enjoy.

    17. Loved this book!!Evie's life gets completely turned upside down and nothing is as she always thought it was. I will not give away any spoilers but this book definitely has lots of twists and turns and keeps you guessing all the way through!

    18. I love anything with a mythological theme so this was right up my alley. This was an interesting take on the story of the Fates and I am interested in reading the rest of the series. I'm hoping some of the loose threads in this one will be resolved in the next books.

    19. Very intriguing. I really enjoyed the storyline and characters involved. It is a bit hard for me to give a good review without giving details away but it is worth the read! must have the second to the series!

    20. Continuous and annoying punctuation errors throughout the whole story. The lack of information of anything other than the benign, is frustrating. Roughly 2/3 of the story is unnecessary information.

    21. Loved it, very good book, need #2 and continue the series because obviously the story ended and I was looking for more of the story.

    22. This is an interesting mix of contemporary and mythological elements. It started a little slow for me but quickly picked up speed. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
