  1. Read in Spanish and the whole translation was very confusing, but even so, its a decent book with a strange finale.

  2. I mainly got hold of Beard's Roman Women for two reasons: It's by Anthony Burgess, and I love A Clockwork Orange; and it's short, little more than a novella really. It was interesting. It's about a writer, and I'm a sucker for novels about writers. The edition I had had some terrific photographs of Rome, that kind of went with the story, but mostly stood alone as photos, too. If you're a Burgess fan, give it a try.
