    1. There was way to much mush in this book for me. With all the talk about Red being a badass, I never once saw it. He was softer than downey snuggle bear. This book was so sweet it made my teeth hurt. I thought the first one was mushy, this one was way over the top. Not sure if I'll finish this series or read anything else by this author. I'm not one for mushy when I read about military men.

    2. 'Line in the Sand' is the second book in Ari McKay's series, 'Herc's Mercs'. I need to apologize to the author because, frankly, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this world of strong security experts, dedicated to protecting their clients. If you know me at all, then you know I have an immense amount of respect for law enforcement, first responders, and military personnel. Plus, well, let's face it. The men in those professions are usually hotter than hot, and everyone needs that kind of brain c [...]

    3. We met Red in the first book and I was intrigued, so I was happy to see his story was next. This book is really super sweet and I love that the author really takes the time to develop these relationships. There is the insta attraction but the real deep feelings take time to come to fruition. There isn't an outside element that is trying to come between these two characters it's all about the situation they find themselves in and the way that adversity brings these two people together.Red may have [...]

    4. 5 Stars Plus🌟 loved this book from Ari McKay. The series is fantastic too but so far this book would be my favourite (didnt read in books order). Red and Jon adorable especially when Red's protectionism comes out. His battles of job vs client are big on his heart. Alec or unkown as Red to freinds working at Hercules security made his way to his next client. Red was the private bodyguard to Jonathan, a theatre performer on stage as well as a movie star. Red just the saved Jon from a mishap wit [...]

    5. This is book two in a series but I didn’t read book one and wasn’t lost at all.Alec is glad to be given an assignment again as a bodyguard to the “careless” actor Jon who doesn’t like to keep himself separated from his fans, even when he’s been advised to do so.The two go on a vacation in Central America and disaster strikes. So, while the two are obviously attracted to one another, but have decided not to act upon it out of professionalism, when the cards are down, they realize that [...]

    6. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. Not my favorite by these authors but good enough that I'll probably read the next one. I'd like a little more maturity in the characters.Liked it but didn't love it.

    7. It was okay and a good romance. Really, really slow burn. It kind of dragged and even the adventure part wasn't that exciting.

    8. Really sweet, fun read. Am enjoying these Herc's Mercs books, can't wait for the next one!Bonus points for a truly awesome bi character (who says he's bi).
