    1. Nice vignette of a classic mythThis is a well-written character study. The detail and characterization of Nanisk is well done, as is the brief portrayal of the Selkie. Why a 3? Because the author stops at characterization. I hope at some point s/he'll continue on and envelop these lovely characters within a storyline rather than just a short character study. Thks is an excellent start.

    2. This story is vivid, haunting, and beautiful. Although it's short, it feels complete. I could see everything so clearly; the descriptions are evocative. I found the two prominent characters, both broken, to be sympathetic.
