    2. 3.5 starsSurreal with harsh truths underneath "My son is gay," Vi whispered. Mama waited. "I don't want my son to be gay." Then you do not want your son." Mama said.

    3. The title is well deserved and very meaningful at the end. With all the merry books I've been reading, I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy this. The Christmas present is about a mother who meets a practitioner to cast a spell to save her son from demons she "thinks" are twisting him into something he's not. The tone is serious and eerie with almost poetic writing. It's kind of dreamlike, of having that magical escape, and I like that it's short cause If it was longer, I'd probably have been bored [...]

    4. A Beautiful GiftAiden is sent to an island to remove him from a situation his mother cannot accept. Luckily, magic, or voodoo, claims him and awards him a future you'll never imagine is possible!Definitely beautiful.

    5. Funny how sometimes one last sentence can feel completely out of place when everything leading up to it feels so rightStill, it's a very beautiful and moving story with an interesting twist.
