    1. The audible book was gifted to me in exchange for a review. This book really starts off grabbing the reader. I found the storyteller's voice, Liv, to be compelling. She has a way of dropping in parts of her story without inundating the readers. The set up is great and then when you think everything is going to be honky-dory, it all takes off. A+ for a unique storyline, set apart from the typical. And also, I loved the pacing of this book. It kept me busy while I worked out, which a huge thank yo [...]

    2. The book is fast paced and a real page turner. The characters are excellent and likable. I would definitely recommend the book for all age groups. The concept is a nice change from other apocolypse styles you'll find, and I think it really lends itself to the story and the characters. The author does a nice job telling the story and maintaining the pov. The story is fun to read and exciting, with plenty of drama action and romance for anyone. Must read !

    3. 5 Kick Butt stars!!!!!This book is amazing!!! The story that Aria Michaels created just wraps you up and does not let you go! It keeps you on edge wondering what's gonna happen next.I can't wait to see what is in store for Liv and everyone else!

    4. Did I read the same book as everyone else did? Because I'm having a hard time believing these reviews are genuine. As an avid reader of all types of books, I really wanted to like this one, but it fell far short of the 5 star review expectations. The next Hunger Games? I think not. Here's what the author got right: Her cover art looks nice and clean. The storyline itself was good. It had an interesting plot. A solar flare so hot it causes people to burn up on the spot? A mystery involving the gov [...]

    5. I'd heard a lot about this book before I'd even looked into it properly, so when Killshot fell into my lap, I was more than excited. Turns out I had good reason to be. Aria Michaels writes this novel with such detail and such intelligence that, at times, it forces you to take a pause for breath and just appreciate the intricacy of the story being told. The world she creates is a mass of noise, colours, emotion and vivid imagery. The protagonist, Liv, is a true force to be reckoned with and no ma [...]

    6. **** 4.5 Cranky Stars ****Life hasn't been easy for Liv Larson. Both her parents died and she is separated from her younger brother, Beans, when they are sent to different foster homes.Liv's old life is over. Once a promising athlete she abandons it, burying it under her grief. Her outlet is art and her friendship with her soul sister, BFF, Riley. Her dream is to graduate high school and reunite with her brother Beans.A once in a life-time event, turns into a nightmare where classmates are incin [...]

    7. Wow, Where to start. Wow Killshot is Powerful, Energizing, and will Blow your mindAria Michaels has the ability to suck the reader in and take them on the journey with the kids in the book, making you feel everything they are on this journeyI was totally not prepared for what I thought this would be. After reading the first book Before the sky fell, I was thinking that this would be a continuation of an older sister trying to put her life in order and get her brother back from Foster Care. How w [...]

    8. *UPDATE (9/30/2015): Since posting my original review Aria contacted me and asked if I wanted to help her with proof reading/editing Killshot, of course I agreed because I love being able to help authors out when possible. Now that the editing errors have be eliminated I have raised my rating to 5/5 stars!I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. From the moment I read the synopsis I knew Killshot was a book that I needed to read. Killshot focuses on Olivia "Liv" Larson, an [...]

    9. ***** (but worth so much more)‘Killshot’ is the amazing debut by Aria Michaels, and let me tell you it is one hell of debut at that. This book will have you engrossed and on the edge of your seat throughout its entirety. I was hooked, and fell in love with the story as well as the characters.I don’t want to go in to too much detail on this book as there are so many aspects and layers to it that I don’t want to ruin it for everyone. But, what I will say is the synopsis for this book reall [...]

    10. Received ARC in exchange for honest reviewOH BABY! This is a goodie! For all you sci-fi apocalyptic lovers, you will love this little bundle of awesome sauce.Okay envision that the movies The Breakfast Club(yes that 80’s classic, don’t laugh), Armageddon (I know you cried at that one don’t lie) and Resident Evil( nightmare fuel) all came together and had some crazy hybrid book child and you will have Killshot, by Aria Michaels.Killshot revolves around a group of high school semi-friends. I [...]

    11. A fast paced and gripping read. This book took me by surprise, in how much I loved it!! It is over 13 hours long but it wasn't long enough!!You are pretty much pulled into the book from the first page and it's non stop from then on. It's not just that there is action, there's plenty of that, it's that the story is intricate and so believable that it's quiet scary. You could imagine a solar flare happening and the intense heat that it causes. You could imagine the devastation that it causes on a g [...]

    12. I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.Seventeen Year old Liv Larson lost both her parents just a few short months ago. Liv and her little brother were put into foster homes. And now all Liv’s goals are to finish high school find her little brother and get out of the small town in which she lives. Her life has not been quite as bad as she thought it was going to be as she was put into a home with good foster parents and she also gained a sister, Riley in her n [...]

    13. I completely loved this book. If you're a fan of The Hunger Games or Divergent you need to grab Killshot. Olivia, Liv, is an orphan. Separated from her brother Lucas (Beans) by foster workers she is getting though life and high school as quickly as possible until she is 18 and old enough to get Beans and look after him herself. Persuaded by her friend Riley she goes to watch a forecasted Solar Flare from her high school roof, only to find herself banded with a group of high school students as th [...]

    14. I listened to the audiobook version of this book. The narrator's voice was pleasant and sounded suitably teenager-y (not that teenage females sound much different than adult females.) The character voices mostly sounded pretty similar to me (there were two or three exceptions to this), but they were almost always accompanied by character tags, so that didn't really matter because I still always knew who was speaking, and I'd prefer similar voices with character tags to voices that just sound lik [...]

    15. I've been wanting to read this book since it first popped up in my Facebook feed. The premise captivated me and I couldn't wait to knuckle down with a copy and get stuck in. So when I won a copy in a giveaway, I was beyond excited. What can I say? It absolutely didn't disappoint. From the outset, the reader is drawn into the story. The main protagonist, Liv, is feisty, courageous and quick witted and tells the story of what essentially feels like the end of the world with panache. This book was a [...]

    16. Wow, Killshot had me hooked from the very beginning. Liv is a young 17 year old orphaned girl, struggling to make it through high school. Wanting nothing more than to get away from her small town and everyone in it. Being separated from her younger brother was killing her, and she would stop at nothing to be reunited with him. Doing everything in her power to keep the promise she made to him; not even if the sky is falling. Who would have known that those words would truly mean so much in this s [...]

    17. I willl review this uber soon, just need to figure out the best way to tell you how amazeballs this book is:)EDIT= see following for reviewI never have really came up with words I felt accurately portrayed the full extent of enjoyment one can derive from reading Killshot. It's not only gripping, poignant and witty, but also a bit emotional and possibly suspenseful in a sense- you just can't wait to read the next page! Liv is a great example of a teen struggling not only with coming into adulthoo [...]

    18. Beta reading rocks!!Killshot is an addictive storyline with sensational character development. I felt like I really got to know this group of rebels, and I can’t wait for the series to continue to reveal it’s secrets! I loved learning about not only the detailed appearance of the characters, but their quirks and each of their specialized contributions to the team. All technical aspects are well researched and developed to help the reader understand why things are happening instead of just te [...]

    19. Fantastic This is not my usual genre. I heard good things, I tried it out. Within the first three chapters I was hooked. It's easy to relate with the characters as well as fall in love with them. What starts out as an innocent night out watching a comet with Liv's best friend and a few acquaintances from school turns into more. Much more. No one was prepared for the world to end. Except for maybe Liv whose late father insisted on her learning more than just the camping basics. Can Liv's slightly [...]

    20. I have to say that the story was FANTASTIC. I gave the book 2 stars based on the fact that there was a LOT of errors. I wondered if the author even hired an editor. I usually don't take more than a few days tops to read a book I am enjoying. The errors were very distracting and annoying. After so long I wouldn't be able to take it anymore and needed a break, so I took a long time to finish. There were words missing, the wrong form of words, and random words that didn't make sense. It wasn't just [...]

    21. Wow this book is good. I never write reviews for books but I just had to for this one. From the time you pick it up to the last page you feel for these characters and the struggles they face. Every one always says "I couldn't put it down" and I have always taken that with a grain of salt. Quite literally I never put this book down. I picked it up yesterday and only stoped to sleep. I would recommend that you have a free weekend because this book will dig its nails into you and won't let you go.

    22. If you love YA dystopia with strong female leads, you will really love Killshot. The world is vivid, the characters dynamic, the stakes high - you will root for Liv and her team of misfits all the way through. I've read the comparisons to Hunger Games and Divergent and totally agree with those reviewers. This book also reminded me of John Marsden's Tomorrow Series, which was my introduction to this wonderful genre. Can't wait for the next installment!

    23. 4.5Killshot is the action-packed, post-apocalyptic thrill ride you’ve been searching for. It’s gritty, violent, and full of enough gore and suspense to keep you on your toes. A heart-stopping journey into a dangerous new world that takes on dystopian without going zombie, Killshot blends science fiction with natural disaster and astronomically bad luck.youngadultbookmadness.wordpres

    24. Wow! This book definitely exceeded my expectations. I expected this to be poorly written, jump around, repetitive and go no where, but that is not at all what happened! I seriously could not put it down. I was either doing school work or reading Killshot. I can not WAIT until Aria's next book :D

    25. It will pull you inThis is one author who knows how to pull the reader in and make them part of the story. I was hooked from the first chapter. I would recommend this to everyone! I hope that the next book in this series is as good as this one. I am anxiously awaiting the release.

    26. Amazing read doesn't do Killshot justice. Once I picked up the book I couldn't put it down. You can almost feel the chemistry between the characters. Aria Michaels definitely has a way of writing that sucks you into her story. I’m now impatiently waiting on her next book.

    27. 4.5 stars got this on sale at Audible. Really excellent story and great pacing. I had a couple of problems with the writing, but this is a very promising author and I will look forward to the sequel.

    28. What a great read! This book has it all! Great characters that you want to know more about, an amazing plot that keeps you wanting to know what's next all the way through, and it is descriptive enough to help the reader feel like they're there. I am anxiously awaiting Before The Sky Fell.
