    1. I have always liked stories about adventures at sea. Pirates have fascinated me since I read "Peter Pan", a long time ago. So it is no surprise that I loved this book. It is quite interesting. And most importantly I liked the fact that in this story pirates are the villain, as they should be, not that I mind Pirate heroes ;) Another point which goes in favour of this book was the way it began. a mysterious woman running from something or someone. I like it when there is some mystery involved, es [...]

    3. This was a hot and spicy read. I liked the main characters and found James to be a great pirate and saviour to Charity. I loved reading about the adventures at sea and having the lead characters trapped together in the cabin was an illicit thrill. James was such a great character and I adored how he put Charity's needs above his own. The love scenes were really hot and exciting to read. The scurvy lot of pirates and Navy men added danger to the exciting plot. A book that is well worth reading.

    4. This swashbuckling romantic adventure is the story of Charity and James. When Charity sneaks aboard a pirate ship in an effort to avoid an arranged marriage, she is found by James who is aboard the ship to find information on the whereabouts of his lost brother. As they sail the high seas they form an uneasy alliance that develops into a romantic attachment. But will it be enough to keep them together for the long haul?I quite enjoyed this story! The setting was really well researched and brough [...]

    5. I really enjoyed this "out of the frying pan, into the fire" tale. The opening scene really drew me in. Charity has managed to escape her uncle's clutches, and his nefarious intent to drug her and marry her off to a fiend who is interested only in her dowry. She boards a ship she believes is part of the navy's fleet and discovers too late that she's stowed away on a pirate ship. She's discovered by James Lamont, who signed on as a pirate in order to search for his brother, who went missing after [...]

    6. A charming read from the start! Charity's mission to outrun her uncle and soon to be husband is - dangerous in itself, pushes her into a situation with dire consequences. James Lamont is on a quest to find his missing brother. Flung together on the high seas in a read full of action, adventure with betrayal and seedy characters, with pirates galore and two leading characters of Charity and James at the forefront who enlighten and entertain throughout :D A heady mix of attraction and confrontatio [...]

    7. Actual rating 3.5 out of 5 Stars!Originally posted on my blog: Tangled Up In BooksI received a copy of this book, from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. In no way did this sway either my review or my rating!I have so much love for a good historical romance. One that can sweep you away to a period in time and make you feel as if you're there right along with the characters. Normally though I tend to stick to the regency London period when it comes to these types of romances and I p [...]

    10. With thrilling action and sweet romance, Tempting the Pirate was a great historical romance. I really liked this book and I thought it was a lovely read.Charity frustrated me at first. She was so set in her negative thinking against men that she became shrewish to James even though he was honestly trying to help and literally the only thing standing between her and being used as an unwilling whore by the entire crew. But, after a few chapters, her thinking started to change and I started to like [...]

When reading a new author you know its going to go one of two ways. I'm either going to really really dislike it or its going to be my next obsession. This book thankfully ended up being up the latter. Charity ends up hiding away from her soon to be ex fiance in the storage hold of a ship that is unknowingly to her getting ready to head [...]

    18. This was a riveting book once I got engrossed in it. The way James took care of Charity was very sweet and endearing. Which he did with a little unwanted flirtation, but that made it fun for the reader. He was very refreshing a character from the other pirates in the book. And Charity was a strong female character who wouldn't let the men walk over her. I liked her spunk. Together they made a good team in a time where that was not acceptable. The story flowed at a nice pace and ended in a way fo [...]

    19. Review copy provided by NetGalley. It took a little while for me to warm up to the characters and the story. In the beginning it seemed a little haphazard and the heroine was a little to naive (and wordy). Any how as the story progressed I started to like Charity and James. Their banter became witty and the attraction between them was apparent and understandable. James treated Charity with respect regardless of her man hating views and his flirtation was funny because it flustered her. The last h [...]

    20. I always love a man who's willing to offer his services, "you're sure? My kisses have been known to soothe and heal." And he'd be most willing to tend to her finger with a kiss, a nuzzle, a caress." I loved James for a pirate he was so gentle and caring and just sweet on Charity, "let it be known that I have no regrets." He swept his lips over hers once again. "You are the most desirable woman I've ever met. If I must be distracted from my purpose, I can think of no better reason." This book was [...]
