    1. I loved this story, it was sad for most part of it, so many tears and sorrow, however, the road of recovery for these 2 characters were amazing and the ending was lovely. You might not agree and that's fine, for me, it was freaking awesome!!!

    2. For a short story this packed quite a punch. I didn't come away thinking that it had fallen short or that the story was missing lots of information. We didn't get to meet Brian in this story, but I still became emotionally invested in him - even though his character is killed prior to the novella starting. Jason and David were going through their own grieving process in completely different ways.Loved this story :)

    3. As I read this story, I kept thinking I knew how things were going to play out possibly there was a mix-up and Brian would come back no, that didn't happen. Timothy would step in and save the day, then he, Jason and David would end up together no, that didn't happen. But, don't discount the important part that Timothy did play in this story! I even allowed myself to consider Dr. Schneider as a possible love interest (I know, a long shot but hey, I was getting desperate!) So, by the time I had fi [...]

    4. A really sweet story about men broken by war and loss. A lot of angst, struggle and heartbreak. Followed by a sweet Christmas reunion. I just wished we could have gotten a bit more from both before Brian’s funeral and from after David finally comes home. I think I know what David’s gift to Jason was, but I would have loved a follow up and confirmation of my suspicions.

    5. This book doesn't get the high rating because I liked it but because it moved me. It is full of loss, angst, heartbreak, despair, love and determination. Keep those tissues handy. It is a product of war story. The story of the pain felt by the soldiers currently serving overseas and their loved ones at home. Not all return home unharmed. This is a very moving story. You should consider the subject matter before deciding when to read the book.

    6. I loved this book but I did spend a lot of time crying while reading it. I is a great story but very heartbreaking. I will probably read it a few more times.
