    1. "A Delightful Educational Story for Children"This is a beautifully illustrated children's story about Ernie, a sweet baby elephant who has trouble with other youngsters who pick on him about his small size. The story is written in rhyming style which makes it a very enjoyable to read. Ernie is bigger than cats and dogs, but not big enough to do the work of larger elephants. 2. A tale of learning to believe in yourself! This is an adorable book about standing up to bullies and learning to believe in yourself. This story is a tale of two friends, an elephant and a mouse. Through the eyes of a little mouse, the elephant learned to believe in himself. By doing so, he overcame the bully at school. This book could lead to discussions with young children about being strong, learning kindness, looking at things from another perspective.

Use the GA standard ELAGSEKRL1 With prompting and support, ask and answer questions about keydetails in a text. After reading the story, have a worksheet ready for your students. On the worksheet, have different questions like what did Martin say o [...]

    6. I didn't care much for the layout, and it was really simple, but I think small kids (ages 3-8 I'd say) would love it. Ernie is cute and sweet, and Martin has wise advise.
