    1. Unfortunately for me, this was a miss. While it is always helpful to read about someone’s trials and how their faith gets them through as a refresher, this wasn’t anything new. A refresher, yes– fresh, no. Smith has her anecdotes and her scriptures but I never felt connected to the material. That isn’t to say other readers won’t find her material inspiring or appealing. It just didn’t lift me. And that’s okay. I still thought about her mission and problems and that might be all I n [...]

    4. Do you ever feel like, just maybe, there’s something more that you’re made for? I think we all do. After all, there’s a pull in us, an acknowledgment inside that this life isn’t all there is. Even those of us who follow Christ can sometimes feel that we want more–more of Christ, more impact on others, more of God’s blessings. Because I think that feeling is universal, I was pleased to get the chance to review I Want It All: Exchanging Your Average Life for Deeper Faith, Greater Power [...]

    5. Gwen is an influential writer, who has a not only a gift for writing but a gift for conveying the word of God. In her latest book " I want It All", Gwen hits on several key points that I believe are so important to the Christian faith. She doesn't just want women to have lukewarm faith, but deep faith that impacts the world, which penetrates our hearts. What I love about this book is the ability to apply every chapter to my life whether she's addressing fears, failures, trust, temptation, grace, [...]

    6. This book was so encouraging to me as a woman and as a Christian. Gwen's boldness in confessing her struggles, in explaining revelation, and in challenging the reader spiritually, mentally, and emotionally was refreshing. The words in this book spoke to my spirit, lifting me out of my "funk" to clearly see who God is and what He is capable of in our lives. My personal longing for more of God was spoken to through Gwen's writings. When I felt like no one else understood, she showed me that not on [...]

    11. In her opening pages, Gwen Smith writes: “If…you struggle to connect your questions to God’s answers, or the harsh realities of your life to God’s power, or your choices to God’s wisdom, or your apathy to God’s calling, then settle in a big, comfy chair. I expect we’ll become good friends…” (p. 15)I like how she lays right out in front who this book is for, and what it’s about. And funny she says bit that about becoming good friends because that’s exactly the tone she adopt [...]

    12. "I Want it All" by Gwen Smith is a wonderful book for the Christian woman who feels like something is 'missing' from her life; the career she never had, the home she wishes was hers, the 'what-ifs' that come from having regrets about decisions made in the past, and the feeling that each day holds the same mundane tasks. We Christian women know in our heads that Christ alone can complete us, redeem us, and is the source of our purpose, yet Smith moves beyond "head knowledge" and delves much deepe [...]

    14. Do you want that incredible life, the life that includes all God has for you? If you want it all, Smith writes, it's going to be a battle. She has written this book to help you dive into God's Word and become the woman God created you to be.Her book is in three parts. First, she explores your longings and how God is the only One Who can fulfill them. She writes about the importance of grace and shares her own story. 16. I.Love.This.Book.When I first saw the title of this book, I wasn't sure I wanted to read it. I've read many books about living a better life for Jesus and figured this was one more book that told me to pray and serve more. But the Holy Spirit nudged me to select it. It didn't take me long to realize Gwen's book was so much more than a how-to book. In her transparent and honest voice, Gwen touches on several areas of what it means to have a relationship with God. not just any relationship, but a [...]

    17. This is a book that had me searching my heart and focusing on what God wants for me and not what I want; focusing on what God thinks about me and not what the world thinks about me. I love how Gwen shares her heart openly and gives us a glimpse into her life. I could relate to her thoughts so much and the things she goes through. I definitely felt some conviction from what she shares, too, and that's always good for the soul. Sometimes what I focus on is not at all what God wants me to focus on [...]

    18. God has put us on this earth to fulfill the plans He had for us before the world was spoke into existence. However, when life unfolds and routine and mundane sets in we often begin to feel ordinary…unimportant and forget that God has amazing plans for our lives. We stop dreaming the dreams God puts within our heart. Gwen reminds us that our God is able to do abundantly more than we can ask or imagine.Gwen knows it can be easy for us to loose ourselves in the everyday and begin to dismiss God [...]

    19. “I Want It All” by Gwen Smith is an amazing must read. If you are like me, most days are mediocre at best. With all the busyness of life, trying to spin many plates on sticks, we are just not living the life God created us to have. We want more. 20. “I Want it All” is one of the most encouraging and uplifting books I have read in a long time. As someone who has been in a difficult season lately — the words from this book were not only the encouragement my heart needed, but a challenge for me to press on and trust the Lord, even in the midst of trials.Gwen’s book reminds us that we have everything we need in Jesus — salvation, peace, provision, security, wisdom, and grace. When we start looking to Him and His almighty power, we can [...]

    21. As I read this book, I felt as though I was sitting and talking with a friend. A friend who understood the struggles and knew for herself and for her readers that if we truly want to have all Christ has died and rose again to give us, there were things we needed to change and live out.Throughout the book Gwen shares her own struggles, victories, and testimonies of God working in and through her life that encourage the reader to want to do the same. It took me awhile to read it but I wanted to so [...]

In it, she addresses the urgent need for being a more faithful outlook and a deeper understanding of what it means to walk the Christian walk. I enjoyed the fresh and smart attitude that Gwen brought to this serious subject. It was almost as if she was sitting across from you, chatting over coffee. And while the overall book is regarding an important and fascinating topic, it wasn't a [...]

    23. Sadly for me, "I Want It All" wasn't a hit for me.I never like writngin a less than perfect review, but if I always wrote reviews whre I said I loved every book, that wouldn't be a true review & I want to give my readers my honest opinion, while not being too harsh on the Author. With that being said,it is always helpful to read about the trials of other people and see how their faith helps them through. I didn't really feel connected to the material in this book. That doesn't mean that othe [...]

    24. So the question is, Do you want it all? --Because God wants you to have "it all" and even more!!This was an encouraging read. Filled with real-life anecdotes and memorable quotes, there were many things that I took away from this book. I will give you a little sneak peak and share the first and last sentences that I highlighted in my kindle! "e great life He intends for us to live begins and ends with the Word. The Word made flesh: Jesus." And the final one: "Being a woman of impact is not about [...]

    25. Real! Powerful! Honest! Gwen writes with a mix personal story and biblical truths that will make your heart want MORE of Jesus. That's always what I'm looking for in a book. I want it to be right beside my bible and take me deeper into His Word. I want to know that other women are experiencing the same struggles and fears and have the same hope and dreams that I do. Gwen does this in I Want It All. And BONUSble study in the back for every chapter! This makes it perfect for you and your friends!Y [...]
