    1. Damn, it sucks that there is no cover art for this book. Not that it's all that amazing.I found this book in my library's young adult section in middle school. It's romantic, idealistic and historical, set in California on the eve of Pearl Harbor. Everything that I was (and [sometimes] still look for) in a book. So good that I had to read it more than once. Perfect for any young girl.

    2. A decent historical fiction, as I recall. As someone said on , the main character is self-absorbed at first but grows as the story goes on. The ways in which early WWII events affect Marjorie's life are very plausible.
