    1. Thanks to the author for participating and offering this freebie, regardless of rating that is appreciated - sorry I didn't like it!Um what?I found this awkward, leaping into things, everything exploding, then resolved, and was that romance? From the prompt I expected the heels to be the tension but instead there was a stroke and aphasia on one side, colour and family pressure on the other, a serial killer somewhere in the middle of it, and somewhere else -without me feeling there was any connect [...]

    2. 1.5 It's not you, it's me. starsDetective Mikkel Bass has always been attracted to men like himself; big, masculine, and black. When he sees lithe and graceful Cassidy (CC) dancing on stage at a club, he can't understand it, but he can't take his eyes off of him. Before he can think about acting on his new attraction, someone is murdered in the club bathroom and Mikkel will have to find the killer. Cassidy has Broca's Aphasia caused by a stroke when he was twenty-five. He's learned to walk and d [...]

    3. NOOOOOOOOOOO! OK, the writing was smooth and flowed really well. CC is a dancer who suffered a stroke in his mid-twenties. He has triumphed and has built a great life for himself. I loved his network of friends. He is a member of a dance troupe that is in a competition at a club when someone is murdered. Enter one very tall, dark and handsome detective, Mikkel. He comes across as growly and judgmental. He really isn't. He and CC are instantly attracted to each other. So why the large NO. This th [...]

    4. Errrrrrr.what did I just read???? It started off really well, interesting characters, good introductions and background. The dancers are in 6" heels and leather and win a dance contest. Tall, dark and built cop with eyes for only one.en a scream. and this story turns into a murder whodunitWTF???? Completely misses the picture prompt.t even one stolen kiss between MC's.*meh* feeling extremely cheated

    5. This is actually a very quick story that takes place over a span of less than one day. CC is dealing with what life has dealt him. At the young age of twenty-five he suffered a stroke with consequences. No longer able to be a lawyer he finds a job within the D.A.’s office as a researcher. His biggest side effect is his speech. At times he is able to speak clearly but other times he stutters. He also mixes up phrases but his close friends understand him, (the language of CC). Mikkel is a Detect [...]

    6. I thought I was going to like this. The story started out pretty good, and I liked the disability the MC had, it was so different from so many other disability stories. But then it turned into a murder mystery and it just bored me. The 2 main characters could have been so hot together and we got nothing other than a planned date. Seriously disappointing.

    7. This was a cute entertaining short story about attraction and insecurity. I enjoyed reading, but for something so short, I wish we hadn't spent so much time on the crime subplot. Also, some of the verb tenses and adjectives didn't seem exactly correct to me.

    8. Wow. Way too short. Too much stuff crammed into a short story and not much related to anything else. Could have been good but it wasn't.
