    1. Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.I dislike rating anthologies, and if I hadn't been asked for a starred review, I probably would have left this without a rating. Like most anthologies I read, I liked some stories, I disliked others, and I developed an extreme antipathy toward one story. So I'm splitting the difference and going with three stars. One thing that was uniformly good was the quality of the writing. All the stories had good, strong prose and m [...]

    2. Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I know some of the authors. All opinions are mine alone.Review: When it comes to reviewing an anthology there are always going to be stories which are stronger and stories which are weaker. So I’ll try to give an overview of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good:Overall the writing shown by this group of authors ranges from very good to excellent. They know how to paint a scene and have a talent for wordsmithing. There were places [...]

    3. ((Full disclosure: I got an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review. As always, honesty is promised, honesty is delivered.))Reviewing an anthology is always a bit difficult. The different stories and voices will, inevitably, have a mix of some that speak more to one readre, and some that don't. It sometimes feels unfair to give a low rating to the whole because of only a few bad stories, yet it'd be equally unfair to elevate those stories beyond where they belong. So, the only thing [...]

    4. It has been a long time since a book surprised me with it's plot lines. I really enjoyed this book. It was fun and surprising at every turn. I actually had a hard time putting it down to go back to work. If you are looking for a fun read for the season this is it. The stories are intriguing and will have you hanging on every word to know what happens next. Great job!

    5. As the publisher of this book, I refrain from giving it a star rating in order to keep the rating as objective as possible. However, lovers of the paranormal, supernatural, and other-worldly will enjoy this work and the exceptional writers who are featured therein. From mysterious and a bit creepy to profound and gut-wrenching, with just the right touch of the macabre, this book is ideal for readers ages 14 and above, and has a few more intense stories that extremely sensitive readers would not [...]

    6. Short stories have never been my favorite form of reading. I prefer to have the character development of a novel. However, I do admire those that can write GOOD short stories. They have to capture their audience with just a few words and put a whole plot into a few short pages. This collection features stories that focus on the paranormal. With a few exceptions I enjoyed each of these stories. They all have something different to offer from retellings of traditional ghost stories to original con [...]

    7. About half good, half meh. Maybe because I expected the stories to feature ghosts in some way and that wasn't the case.
