    1. ‘War is cruelty and you cannot refine it…’ Gen. William T. ShermanNew Jersey author Mike Crowley (a pen name) is a litigation attorney and U.S. Air Force veteran. He also is actively involved in environmental issues and a strong proponent of what are often called First Amendment Issues: for those whose memory may be hazy on the wording of the constitutional amendment, `Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging [...]

    2. An exceptional all-action thriller, where the pace never lets upA nuclear bomb is stolen by terrorists, corrupt cynical politicians ineptly deal with the crisis, there are furtive dealings by the FBI, and the iniquities practised at Guantanamo Bay are just a few of the ingredients of this whirlwind thriller that is as fast moving as it is informative. Cynicism and incipient evil pervading the behaviour of those with ultimate power is the watchword for this book. The action takes place literally a [...]

    3. This title keeps you on your toes the whole way through. It is a high action, high intrigue complicated action thriller of a novel. A government weapon is suddenly stolen in a professional way, and no one knows what to think about it at first. There are different teams trying to find out where it is with different story lines diverging, as well as one involving Shotgun John and Scorpion, who are effective but at times the stress is starting to affect them and make them crack. I have not yet read [...]

    4. Send My Love by Mike Crowley is the second in this Shotgun John and Scorpion series. I read the first book, Send Flowers, some months back and really enjoyed it. I was not disappointed with the latest in the series. This book offers even more action and suspense than the last. It kept me intrigued and guessing page after page.A hunt for 3 nukes has put our leads Shotgun John and Scorpion on the hunt to track them down. Getting the nukes back proved difficult with so many government agencies invo [...]

    5. I’ll admit that I didn’t read the first book in the series, but honestly, that didn’t stop me from enjoying this one. I loved the writing style and the way it drew you into the action right from the very beginning. The story could very easily be an action movie, especially because of how well it is paced. There wasn’t anything about the story that I didn’t like, and the characters fit together perfectly. I imagine reading the first one first would help, but honestly, it was kind of fun [...]

    6. Excellent. CIA is being terrible. Progressive congressman fights back. I probably didn't catch all the references to news items but the ones I caught made me laugh. Extremely satisfying ending. Banter between John and Raquel keeps it fun.
