    1. A very interesting and captivating read indeed! From page one you are being immersed in a part of this world that few people even know about. This is a very fresh approach to the thriller genre and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story is very well written and so intricate, it has you sitting on the edge of your seat. I also enjoyed the historical background that is interwoven in the story. So well done! I would highly recommend this book to friends and I'm already looking forward to follow [...]

    2. From the opening sentence, I was hooked. The imagery is so vivid and the intricately connected web of characters have such depth and realism, that they conspire perfectly to propel you into the enchanting setting of Cabo Verde. Whether you like crime fiction or not, this story is thrilling, gripping, and emotive, and will leave you wanting more. Not only would I recommend it, I will most certainly be reading it again.

    3. Totally loved this book. A very interesting insight into the Cabo Verde Islands- somewhere I have never been before. Transported into a fascinating fictional underworld - absorbed by a mix of immigrants, guns and ordinary local people- all trying to survive in a culturally diverse setting. You can almost smell the island as the drama twists and unfolds. Great escapism.

    4. In a time of highly raised attention for countries like Cabo Verde With breathtaking descriptions of islands itself, great deal on making the real characters pop out from the page into your everyday life. Will highly recommend this book to anyone to read
