    1. This is an excellent collection. The stories come from well-sourced storytellers all over Ireland and are grouped well to reflect their themes, with an informative introduction to each section. Brilliant. It's very much an adult collection, given the depth and darkness of the themes explored. The stories are fascinating in their originality and often chilling. Perhaps the retellings are a little similar in style but that's a very minor criticism of a book I highly recommend. I've already started [...]
