    1. CONFLICT OF INTEREST My most highly recommended court room novel [particularly for potential law schoolers]. Unusually, instead of shocking murder it's a case of corporate negligence and a billion dollars sought in damages. Lots to learn about case runners, judge shopping, woodshedding, witness interrogation techniques; there's even a decent commentary on Narcissistic Personality Disorder. 2. Fiction law drama set in Houston. About trial lawyers, greed, passion, revenge, etc.A pretty mediocre book. Interesting to me for the local references. First read this in 1998 (Got a free copy) and re-read it after living in Houston for a while. Not terrible, but the writing is weak and the characters are thin. But hey, they are lawyers.
