    1. The only book I can recall reading where the heroine lives on a houseboat in a bayou. This one just didn't grab me. It had parts I liked, but I didn't want to mull over Mary's fate with Guy. By halfway through it was obvious to me that I was just going to push through and finish, find out the happy ending, and call it a day.The ads for upcoming books were a nice perk - again, the mid-nineties typefaces, the plotlines, the ridiculous cover art - all come together to really take you back.
