    1. i've never read anything like this. every page is made up of a collage of retrĂ² newspaper ads and drawings that evoke a feeling of wonder. i'd love to be able to look into the pictures and actually see what the author was trying to communicate but it looks like the process to create them must be too intricate for me to understand just by staring at them long enough. so i'm just going to admire the beautiful artwork. oh, and the poetry on the side is so peculiar. this is the first work by an aut [...]

    2. Amazing collection of drawing collages. The book doesn't do the images justice -- much more depth in person. The poems are incorporated into the drawings themselves. My favorite poem --In Chicago;My dad was:Bum,Lotto tickets,Beefeater martinis,and furious loss.Through the rainand cigar smoke:I see:my dad's shoe shine.I see:my dad's sad smile.
