    5. Embora Bergson tenha sido um pensador profundo e indubitavelmente em escritor fenomenal, este livro, baseado em conferências dadas pelo autor, contém partes ultrapassadas. Com o avanço do conhecimento do cérebro, muitas das concepções e teses desenvolvidas não se sustentam. Os capítulos mais interessantes são os I, VI e VII. De resto, este livro não se compara (e nem deve, de fato) à sua obra-prima, "Evolução Criadora".
