    1. Lessons learnt: a) Do more than just skim through a few paras when buying a bookb) Especially if the book has been translatedc) From lyrical prose!!! Good story; agreed that translation is a difficult task given the nature of the original text but it really didn't work.In my head, this played out like a black and white Malayalam movie, with ppl breaking into tears and melodrama at the drop of a hat.
