    1. Vikki’s MusingsThis is the first book I have read by Karen Tomsovic. I received an e-copy in exchange for an honest review. Spare Me the Drama has a lot going on. The hero, Martin Leon, writes for a day-time soap opera. His wife who wrote the soap opera with him has died. They had eight children. He mourns his wife deeply for a good part of the book. While the heroine, Roxanne Hunter, is introduced fairly early, there is not really any romance between the pair for quite some time. Roxanne beli [...]

    2. Spare Me The Drama was a good start for a promising debut author.Karen Tomsovic made a great job writing a story with so many characters keeping it interesting and fluid.I really can't wait to read more books written by this author. This was such a sweet story with a veil of sadness and melancholy that I've really appreciated because made it even more real.Martin, our Hero,is not in the best place of his life.Losing her beloved wife left him with a huge hole i the chest,an author's block and 8 kid [...]

    3. Rather than an insta-love, there is a lovely romance that blooms in time.Star couple (Roxanne and Martin) is gradually developed and described as separate strong individuals throughout the story. It takes some matchmaking maneuvering from female forces (via Martin's family) for things to come together. Of course, lots of fun (and a bit of drama) color this tale before the couple unite. It was interesting to learn about the daytime tv soap opera industry.Got me thinking of spousal grief and spinst [...]

    4. DramaYes, plenty of drama. Soaps, teenagers, pre-teen, and really short people. Lots of drama, but lots of love also. Can't have one without the other. Funny, sad, sappy, silly, dizzy all words that can describe this book but let's not forget happy, loving, sharing, and most importantly. family.

    5. Spare Me the Drama was engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. The reader will feel the pain Martin and his children endure as they grieve the loss of their mother and wife. The love story that ensues between Martin and Roxanne, which slowly unfolds, will have you cheering them on. Karen Tomsovic wrote a beautiful story. I received Spare Me the Drama for free from First Reads.
