    1. My first grader adored this book! She kept saying, "awwwww!" and "That's so cute!" the entire time we were reading it. She's very particular about illustrations and really liked these. I liked the way this book functioned sort of as an early reader as well as a great read aloud. My daughter read it herself. She actually WANTED to read it herself, which is huge because she can be a bit reluctant. The text has loads of energy. It's short and punchy and fun. I think this is sure to be a big hit wit [...]

    2. I like this action story very much. I used it during a story and play program at work and it was very effective as a story and an activity to help kids get their wiggles out. I asked kids to illustrate the actions as we read them by, for example, hopping or stretching their arms up in the air. Everyone had a good time and with more rehearsing I think the entire story could be acted out really well for larger groups.

    3. Follow this sweet little boy and his dog as they hop, skip, and jump their way through the neighborhood. "A walk is amble-ramble slow. A race is a run, so go, go, GO!"

    4. Big bold illustrations reveal different types of motion as a boy takes his pup for a walk in the city. Marching bands, ballerinas and even a family of ducks provide different fun rhythms.

    5. Fun rhyming action book as the boy takes his dog for a walk. They hop, slip, jump, march, leap, run, and more. I bet kids will love hopping, marching, and jumping along with them.

    6. Cute dog. Clear large images make this good for story time and you could act out the actions or invite listeners to also act them out. But why is there a "Boing boing"?

    7. This story will make you want to jump up and move! A boy and his dog takes the reader through their day with nice illustrations.

    8. A selection of action words is described with cute illustrations to help further clarify.A good book for little ones learning to differentiate between different words or ESL students. This would be a good book for wiggly kids to read as they could act out the actions as they are read on each page. Also a good choice for language arts classes studying verbs or prepositions.

    9. Text-to-TeachingThis book would be a good book to for teaching. This book is a good text to teaching book because it had alot of sight words that the students should know. The book had repeating words that made it easy of the students to remember those words. With this book, I would give the students different activities to do. Like when they said words like jump and hop, I would let the kids act out the words.

    10. Action on every page, this book has sparse rhyming text and is good for the preschool crowd.Large illustrations follow two children around town as they follow/chase their pets!

    11. I'm a big fan of Kristy Dempsey. This book is an action rhyme that kids can act out. It's clever and cute. I think it would appeal to preschoolers, but could be used as an easy-reader for young elementary school children. It is a very short and quick read, so it is perfect for a bedtime story when you don't have much time.

    12. Cute but in context of the narrative a slide isn't always a slip. Fine enough for story time. It has to be difficult to illustrate so much motion.

    13. This is a cute concept book. Rhyming text and colorful, engaging illustrations would make this a fun book to read aloud to young readers.

    14. A picture book about movement in simple sentences for young readers and learners. I fun book to read in an environment that allows for movement.Reviewed from a library copy.

    15. Boy and his adorable puppy take a walk through town using assorted movement verbs and prepositions. Love the large shape, crisp clear illustrations. Be sure to check out the case.

    16. A boy and his dog take a walk and rhyming text describes the sights and sounds of their journey. Ink and watercolor artwork was finished digitally. A fun read aloud for toddlers and PreK-K.

    17. Fun pictures follow a boy and his pup as they talk about different ways to move. Would be fun touse in story time.
