    1. One of my favorites from childhood still holds up quite well. Frank and Ernest hire themselves out to take over your business while you're away, and they do a wonderful job of immersing themselves in the culture. Here, they manage a baseball team, learning the lingo as they encounter interesting phrases. There are two others in the series, in which the duo - an elephant and a bear - explore the slang of other situations.

    2. I love the dictionary connection in this book. I tried so hard to understand all the baseball rich language, but it honestly flew over my head, read twice through the definitions on the end papers in addition to the definitions on the page Enjoyed the idea of being able to hire a couple of people to "solve" my problems wonderful story.

    3. I liked reading the definitions of the baseball lingo, but my 5 year old got bored. So, definitely a book for about age 8 and above.

    4. Definitely beyond my 3 ad 4yo, but at least they enjoyed the pictures and I enjoyed learning something new.
