    1. Exactly what it says it is, this English book is illustrated with family snapshots from apparently a small number of families. Not a one of these pictures appears in any other book, to my knowledge. These are actual, fairly ordinary people in the normal clothes of their lives, and show very well what was actually worn and how it looked (in England, anyhow), from lady bicyclists and a really rare color photo from 1908 to track suits and New Romantics.The pictures are well-chosen, although as I sa [...]
