    1. I am going to try my best to not give spoilers here and it's going to be tough. I can't even talk about the second MC without giving things away that I think you should read for yourself, sowell, here goes.Kelly Sutton is a young intern on Project Mars. And even though he has no real idea what the project is really for, he believes the party line about it being for the benefit of humanity. Everyone working on the project is only told what they need to know for their particular tasks, so no one, [...]

    2. I´m SAD :(This starts so perfect!!! Wonderful surroundings, characters, interesting plot, and humor!!!But suddenly… all is ending and What had happened? I DON'T KNOW.All is so abrupt and confused :( I think this could be a great book if it was longer with a slower development ~2.5 *

    4. 2.75 StarsA sci-fi fluffy love story set in New London, as in London in a New World after the collapse of the Old World (DUH!) due to global corrupted government and economic failings. Riddled with scientific stuff phrasing (bio-whatever, nano-whatnot) that my poor brain struggled to understand (never an A-student in science-class); and mashed up of retro 1950s movies and songs; this brought an insta-love between a young science intern and the gentleman project. Uhm I don't seem to make any sens [...]

    5. Mars and Kelly are just the cutest ever! This is definitely a classic Charlie Cochet style! I loved the super adorable characterization. The usual Dex/Sloane characters formula is everything! I loved Mars and how he ‘fell in love’ with Kelly even before meeting him. What a precious AI-hunk! The whole story was quick but it doesn’t feel rushed. Now, I really want to read the story of Lucius and Jordan so I hope Charlie’s planning to write one.

    7. A Joyfully Jay review. 3.5 starsSo this is a book where there is a limit to what I can talk about without giving away some basic spoilers about the story and the other hero. This stuff is revealed fairly early on, but still there is an element of surprise to the story, so bear with me as I am going to be a bit vague and use some spoiler tags.I liked the set up here with Kelly an enthusiastic intern thrilled to be on this major project, only to find out that everything he believed about it is a l [...]

    9. Passionate scientists can be dangerous for many reasons, and some of them are explored in this entirely possible futuristic story. Between Kelly, a highly motivated intern who wants nothing more than a career as a scientist, and his discovery of what is going on behind the closed doors of the lab he works in, there is enough suspense to keep things interesting. Kelly’s fervent belief in “science for science’s sake” is thoroughly tested, and when he ends up in the fight of his life instea [...]

    10. This was a sweet and creative novella by author Charlie Cochet. I’ve read many of Charlie’s books and I’m always left feeling happy and entertained. Love in Retrograde is a little sci-fi meets real life. The concept isn’t far off of a world that someday will be real. Kelly is an intern, and Mars is… well Mars is special. I loved Mars’s innocence mixed in with his understanding and what he’s been taught.Great small ensemble with this story. I referred to them in my head as Kelly and [...]

    11. I really enjoyed this futuristic sci-fi short. It was like entering an episode of the Twilight Zone. It was great and I loved the twists in the plot as the story progressed. Of course I would have loved it even more if there was more to tell at the end, but that ending was very much in keeping with the Zone.

    12. justloveromance.wordpressThis one is kind of tough to review seeing as I can really only talk about one of the MC’s without giving the whole plot away, but I will try my best.Intern, Kelly Sutton, is working on Project Mars, a project so secretive not even Lucien, his mentor, will discuss the details with him. In fact, without the highest level of clearance, anyone working on the project is only given enough details to complete their portion of the job – everything else is top secret. For th [...]

    13. For a short story it sure covers a lot of ground. Might have been better as a longer story so as to explain certain aspects. A light fluffy story. Definitely would recommend.

    14. Had this book not been authored by Charlie Cochet, I would have probably given it a pass. Sometimes I take a chance and try something new and I regret it. This time, fortunately, I am glad I gave it a try. I admit, it started out a bit slow for me and my head was spinning with all the nano this and bio tech that. I also admit, science is not my favorite subject and I was thinking I was in a bit over my head. Fortunately, once the groundwork was laid out, I was able to get past all the lingo and [...]

    15. 3.5 HeartsKelly is an intern hoping to advance his career by being part of Project Mars. After overhearing an argument between the two Doctors heading the project, Kelly is taken to the secure section where he discovers Project Mars is actually a human, biologically engineered to be a super-soldier. He does not expect to be confined to Mar’s living quarters, or start caring for this weapon. This was a fun adventure/love story. As a novella it is a quick read, but the world building and charact [...]

    16. Review can be read at It's About The Book4.5 starsIn this latest from Charlie Cochet, she’s written a story that may be set in the future but still retains the most important of all questions, future or not: are human relationships and emotions worth saving in a world that’s become more and more computerized?Kelly is an American working on an international project that is set to make a real difference called Project Mars. He’s been on analyzing data on the project for about a year and has [...]

    18. 4*****StarsNovella: Love in RetrogradeAuthor: Charlie CochetPublisher: Dreamspinner PressGenre: Sci FiRated: Mature M/MI just returned from vacation with an armful of books that I have read. I am busting to talk and share them with you. Charlie Cochet had just released her newest THIRDS novel, and I am saddened to say many might have missed this lovely novella….It might have gone by the wayside with all the THIRD hype. This would make me sad because readers and I might have been cheated not ca [...]

    19. So, how do I write a review without giving away a HUGE spoiler for this book, like who the second main character is? Well, quite simply, I will have to keep it short and sweet, just like Love in Retrograde. This was a futuristic story, with a young scientist who falls in lovewith another man. :) They have adventures, and an HEA. So there you go. :)In actuality, what happens is so crazy on par with what literally COULD happen in merely a few years. Charlie (as she always does) manages to create a [...]

    20. Talking about Love in Retrograde is going to be difficult, especially discussing it without giving the entire short story away. It’s a short, sweet sci-fi love story that is short. First off, let me say I have read and loved Charlie Cochet’s work before, and I enjoyed this example as well; it was just too short. Can I just say short story is short? I know, repeating yourself, Angel, but short! I was just getting fully invested into the interesting world building, the two MC’s lives, and the [...]

    21. Another novella that surprised me how deeply involved my heart got. I had a little hard time getting into the first chapter but that had more to do with me not ready to let go of the previous book's couple than with Love in Retrograde. By the time I was halfway into chapter two, I was hooked with Kelly Sutton and when he learns the whole truth behind Project Mars, I couldn't put it down. I have only read a few of Charlie Cochet's books but I have her entire Thirds series on my Kindle but haven't [...]

    22. 5 StarsI have to say that I absolutely LOVED this story. The way the two men came together and how they don't realize what it is they are feeling until they are forced to face it. With there being a huge secret right at the beginning its hard to not give any spoilers for this story, but I'll say that it was absolutely believable and that it's another hit from Charlie Cochet. Once I picked up the story, I couldn't put it down. I was sucked in and had to know what was going to come next for Kelly [...]

    23. Kelly Sutton has been interning at the Photonic Royal Society in New London for the past year. He has hopes that all his hard work on the Mars project will be a stepping stone to a better position. Little does Kelly know that Mars is far more real than he could have ever imagined, and Mars has fixated on him. This was a quick read, short story that had a little bit of Dystopian and SyFy elements blended into it. The concept itself really amazed me, the thought and world building Cochet had to pu [...]

    24. 3.75 stars I love how Charlie Cochet's novellas are so sweet and always melt my heart. Much like her full length books the characters and story almost always captivate me and make me fall in love . However, they do tend to feel rushed towards the end - unfortunately this one was the same. A few more pages, a little more detail throughout the book would've made a world of difference, wouldn't have left me yearning for something more. That being said, I loved Kelly and Mars. So adorable, and what [...]
