    1. This was a very entertaining young adult fantasy story with a lot of mystery surrounding the main character who found himself being attacked daily without knowing why. He slowly started to piece together what his origin was with bits of information he overheard from several sources in his life. It was fun watching him piece together who he was and where he came from. He isn't clear on what all he can do in this book but I'm sure that is what the following books will reveal. Fun book!

    2. I love the way that Jessi Kallison melds fantasy with science! From the Mad Queen's genetic manipulation to witty science-fiction quotes, Iron Shards is a must read for anyone who likes Young Adult Fantasy. The characters are engaging and interesting and the world that Kallison has created is intriguing. I can't help but want to learn more about John Jones and the world he has become a part of.

    3. I loved this book. It has vivid descriptions, great conversations, and engaging characters. I can't wait for book two.
