    1. I’ve always found the concept of alternative history or parallel worlds fascinating, when I’ve encountered it in works ranging from Philip K. Dick’s The Man in the High Castle to the TV series Sliders. So, I was excited to read Sam Merwin, Jr.’s The House of Many Worlds, his pulp novel take on the genre.     2. I read the description on the back cover and could not wait to read this book. I like old science fiction written in the 1950's and 1960's. This was very disappointing. The characters were boring. Not much action to draw you into the story. This was most unrealistic. I am a huge history fan and my brain could not handle a different history.
