    1. Being a Black female and a huge fan of romance books, I rarely find Regency/Midevel romances dealing with Black characters. In fact, when one reads most romance books dealing with these time periods, it's as if Blacks were non-existent. Finally a book where there are several Black characters and they are portrayed beautifully! At first I was leery of how Camille (Jack's mulatto mistress) would be portrayed but I was more than happy to see that the relationship between the two was not cheapened a [...]

    2. I didnt like this book, for so many reasons, if camille loved him so much, why she put a spell on him? He would love her anyway, if he was in love. The relationship between Jack and Priss was smoth and I knew it what he felt for camille was only lust in the moment he kissed pris and didnt felt bad, the woman was dead, he say he should have felt something in the moment. It was just a huge lust, he even payed to sleep with her, every day, with his shopaholic black lover. Definitly not love and the [...]
