    1. This is such a lovely book. It's the kind of book that a fairy-minded child adores and pores over and as an adult recalls as a symbol of their magical childhood. I wish I'd had it as a child. I believe I would have climbed inside of it.(One of my used copies has written in it: P. McAulay. My other used copy has written in it: Elizabeth Marion Ehlers.)

    2. Adorable and kind-hearted. Perfect for little kids, particularly those with an interest in the, er, wee folk. Nothing in here to shock or offend, I don't think. Really love the illustrations, too. Sort of post-Disney in nature.
