    1. In this chapter book for early readers, two boys explore a cave and end up in dinosaur times. It’s about 70 pages. Heavy on the pictures, light on the plot and the characterization. My first graders loved it and begged for the next few books in the series.

    2. This book is rated 🌟🌟🌟 .999 stars. I did not like this book because I do not like dinosaurs. I enjoyed this book because I like things that fly. A pterodactyl flew.

    3. I don’t know how we missed the Dinosaur Cove series, but my kids and I are happy to have discovered them. My 6 year-old son who loves anything dinosaur, was delighted to have first my husband read the whole book to him and then myself. My 8 year-old daughter joined us for the second reading. Needless to say, my son LOVED this book and can’t wait for me to read him the second book in this series. My daughter enjoyed it too. This book is great for learning because it includes interesting facts [...]

    4. If you have a child that likes dinosaurs this is a great series. I have a 5 year old that can't get enough of these and they are great chapter books to read to him because they are long enough to meet his reading requirement but short enough to hold his attention. I don't think any of the chapters were more than 10 pages. The book also includes some fun illustrations.Product Description from : Tom and Jamie can't believe their luck when they find a secret entrance to a prehistoric world filled w [...]

    5. This book served as an excellent read aloud for my boys! If you have a dinosaur lover in your ranks this is a great read for them! It follows two boys who find a cave where they can go through to go back in time to see dinosaurs. Each book focuses on a different dinosaur and gives great facts at the beginning and throughout the story. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ from my boys.

    6. My 6-year-old son LOVED these books, and they got him hooked on the idea of reading chapter books to himself for fun.

    7. A great book full of adventure, imagination and mystery about two young boys, Jamie and Tom discovering a secret cave. This took them on an amazing exploration in to the land of dinosaurs. The author incorporated use of new technology and gadgets which would interest boys today, where Jamie owned this hand held computer. His computer helped him find out anything and many times within the story we see how he makes use of his gadget to find out more or to assess their situation. Jamie, new to the [...]

    8. I read and enjoy a lot of children's fiction, but really disliked this book. The idea is okay and I thought it would appeal to my dinosaur-loving stepson, but even he was utterly bored. The characters are cardboard at best. Actually, I couldn't cite a single characteristic of one of the protagonists if my life depended on it, apart from the fact that they like dinosaurs and fossils. Also, many scenes, especially in the beginning, don't have any stakes nor any conflict. They are just THERE. The s [...]

    9. Jamie moves to Dinosaur Cove, where his dad is going to open a dinosaur museum in a lighthouse. While out looking for fossils on the beach, he and his friend Tom find a portal back to the time of the dinosaurs. This is a fun chapter book, and the first in a series. The boys explore the dinosaur world and have a few close encounters (though nothing too scary). While they're searching, Jamie has a fossil guide that gives him information on the things they find. The book includes a map at the end sh [...]

    10. While i have not read "Attack of the Tyrannosaurus" by Rex Stone it looks to be a fun read for new readers, with pictures on most every page to help visualize and understand the content of the story; plus, it has Dinosaurs! Even Better, it is a part of a whole series of a books about dinosaurs. While "Dinosaur Battles" by Michele R. Wells was not my first pic for nonfiction, it is an undeniably irresistible combination for young boys; Battles and Dinosaurs! These two books together are sure to [...]

    11. This was more of a read to Jack instead of read with. A short 60 or so page novel set in Dinosaur Cove. Jamie has just moved to the cove and will be living in the lighthouse with his father and grandfather. He loves hunting for fossils and finds a friend in Tom.Tom shows him a cave and the two boys stumble through it back to into the past where they meet a friendly Wannanosaurus who saves them from a T-Rex before they finally return home with plans to use the cave to visit Wanno again.A cute rea [...]

    12. A great read for boys! Not only it's a full action packed adventures in a land of dinosaurs (hell yeah!) but, it's cleverly made too. The vocabulary used is complex -there's a lot of tricky words here, being a fantastic challenge for confident little readers and, also a great opportunity to broaden a child's lexicon. There's some nice bits to take away in general knowledge too (a small glossary at the end is an appreciated bonus). The drawings are also very realistic -sketched in black and white [...]

    13. I've never heard of this series, but picked it out because 1) it was about dinosaurs2) it looked like it had fun expressive dialog3) it was a chapter book, but short enough that I could read it in one sittingSuper fun book. I read this one to a group of about 35 or more kids from K to 6th grade and they all REALLY seemed to enjoy it. It was fun to read also. Total thumbs up :)Great balance of varying expressive dialog, description, and fun facts. Fun story line as well.

    14. If you have a beginner reader who is a boy and they love dinosaurs they'll love this book. Bryant actually sat down and read the first few pages by himself before dinnerat has never happened before. I read it to him before bed, it's a short adventure story of a couple boys who find a cave that has a time warp back to the dinosaurs. There are a bunch in the series, so it looks like we'll be reading these for a while.

    15. Jamie has just moved to dinosaur cove. He meets a person named Tom, and they become best friends. Together, they find a tunnel that leads to real life dinosaurs! The first dinosaur they meet is a Wannasaurus. Then, when they are playing in the dinosaur world, a T. Rex finds them and tries to eat them. How they escape? I love this book! This is the first book in the series of dinosaur cove. You should read the series of dinosaur cove.

    16. These are great beginning chapter books for kids interested in dinosaurs. Two boys discover a secret cave with a passage back to dinosaur times. Each adventure is focused around a different dinosaur. Not too scary for most young readers despite some ferocious looking covers. The stories are British (and not edited for Americans - yay) so my son is learning some of the differences between British and American English. Good fun.

    17. Early reader chapter books are by necessity short and sweet and to the point. This one was cute but kind of underwhelming. It's intended audience however loved it! I read this with Aidan. We started it last night and today he was begging me to finish it. So even with a raging case of laryngitis I finished whisper/reading this to him. Perfect for early readers from about K-2 and a definite appeal to those dinosaur fanatics in your world!

    18. I shared this with my five year old daughter and we both loved it! Great dinosaur adventure with great illustrations. Lots of thrills and spills with just the right amount of 'danger' for the age group so it was exciting rather than scary for her.We enjoyed it so much I have ordered the rest of the series already!

    19. I read this one to my son, and he really enjoyed the story. The characters were easy to relate to, and the dinosaurs were interesting. I admit he was a little scared by the T-Rex, but mostly for the drama. ;-) I am planning to get the second book and see how it goes. I am hoping he lasts longer with this series than he did with Magic Tree House.

    20. My Dino loving 4 year old loves Dinosaur cove chapter books. An easy read, lots of dinosaurs to learn about, each book focuses on one type. Little readers will learn more about paleontology and various dinosaurs while following the exploits of Tom and Jaime. Along the lines of Magic Tree house, but with more adventure and a bit more focused as each book is on dinosaurs.

    21. I read this as research for writing for this age group and I really enjoyed it. It's fun and a great read. It would probably appeal to anyone about 5 upwards. The story is about two boys who discover a way back In time to the Cretaceous and with the friendly dinosaur Wanna they have amazing adventures. It's all accompanied by fun drawings.

    22. Fun chapter book with short chapters, lots of illustrations, a glossary/map, and enlarged fonts for certain words. I read it to my three-year-old and five-year-old in less than half an hour, and both enjoyed it.

    23. Jamie and his new friend Tom explore a cave and find a hidden entrance to a world filled with dinosaurs.Great educational book filled with facts about dinosaurs that is perfect for beginning independent readers!

    24. I read the first six books from the serie when I was younger. I freaking loved it, i was addicted to these books , love , love ,love it. I honestly think I'm to old to read the rest of the serie, but I might just do it :p

    25. My second grader read his first chapter book all by himself. He even read portions of it quietly to himself, took it to school and raced through 3 chapters!High interest paperbacks like this very rarely get professional reviews, but they are an essential gateway for kids to get into reading.

    26. Two boys go into a cave and discover a world with dinosaurs by following footprints and falling through the wall. They came back with a bone. Before that, they escaped a TRex by another dinosaur that flies helping them. I think they'll go back to the cave again cuz there are more books.

    27. A series about two boys who discover a secret cave that takes them back to dinosaur times! Perfect for any child who is just starting chapter books and loves dinosaurs. Full of some facts with a simple plot. We are happy to have discovered Dinosaur Cove at our house.

    28. Solid opening in the series. Plot's a little thin and undeveloped for my taste and the books are shorter than they need to be, but there's good action, humor and characters for what we've seen of them so far.
