    1. The Stolen is a good follow-up to the first book in the series. The story is still intriguing but a little less intense than in The Watch. Themes and situations introduced earlier are developed further. Happily, compared to Optica, the setting in this novel is very normal.

    2. The Second book in the Red series, this is definitely a work of art. As much as I enjoyed the fight scenes, the gore, and the creative violence—as odd as that sounds—from the first book, this second novel brings the gentle emotion and crafty characterization that the first book didn’t have. Well let me rephrase that. The first book did have emotion, it did have characterization and development. BUT it was slightly overshadowed by the fast paced action sequences and world-building that took [...]

    3. The Stolen is the second novel in The Red Series. It builds beautifully on The Watch.I used to be an English prof teaching lit and creative writing, and I appreciate both "high" and well-written popular fiction. This novel series really impressed me. It's an extremely gripping read from the first pages, and works for young adult on up, with enough meat to the plot and characters to keep readers of various ages satisfied. It's set in a near future after something strange and terrible has happened [...]

    4. Excellent!I give this book as well as the first one a five. I couldn't put them down. I'm excited to start number 3. Amanda Witt is an amazing author!

    5. The Stolen is a psychological thriller with a wild plot full of suspense and jam-packed with plenty of surprises. Although the series is set in a dystopian world, it doesn't leave you with a sense of hopelessness. You'll be cheering the main characters on as they try to sort out the good guys from the bad, while looking for clues to solve the mystery of their island. I really enjoyed this engaging and well-written story and would recommend it to young and old alike.
