    1. I bought this collection for Liz Isaacson's The Curse of February the Fourteenth. I thought that I might get burnt out reading multiple Cinderella stories in a row, but that was not the case! I was really impressed with the quality of writing and the variation in the stories. One retelling was modern-day and on a ranch, another was in a world of magic users, another was set in Hawaii. My favorite was The Wrong Foot by Adrienne Monson. It answered the question, what would happen if the slipper fi [...]

    4. Wow. All of the stories were gorgeous! The book starts you off with the story “The curse of February the Fourteenth” which is a contemporary romance set in Texas. Personally, I don’t like ranch-y things, so I read it, and it was very well written, but it just wasn’t for me. “The curse of February the Fourteenth” is followed by “Rell goes Hawaiian” which, in the book, is classed as a ‘Magical Realism’. It is set in Hawaii and I really liked this new spin on the old tale! It wa [...]

    6. What happens when a very rich runaway tennis pro and a Texan cowboy meet? A TOTAL EXPLOSION! That’s what Liz Isaacson gives us in The Curse of February Fourteenth. Cal Hodgkins is a cowboy at Three Rivers Ranch who is comfortable with being alone (well, unless his daughter is with him), veterinary technician and all round cowboy. 8. This is a sweet little novella about Cal and Trina's journey to HEA. They meet under mysterious and magical circumstances and are drawn together immediately. Then Trina runs away, a la Cinderella. They meet again, unbeknownst to Cal, and a relationship develops, but Cal continues to pine for the mystery woman he'd met at Halloween. Eventually, misunderstandings and lies of omission are uncovered, and Cal is consumed by righteous fury and humiliation. I thought his reaction was out of proportion [...]

    10. The Curse of February Fourteenth by Liz IsaacsonCinderella goes cowboy in this sweet little tale. A mystery girl, a magical dance, and some missing footwear bring Cal and Trina their fairy tale moment. Both of these survivors have a few trust issues to sort out and good reason to hate Cupid and his holiday, but together they just might be able to make some new and better memories this Valentine’s Day. Each one unique and noteworthy to say very much worth the read. I love the magic and surprise, suspense, and of course each has an hea. Being introduced to some new writers and one-click favorites always make boxsets inviting.
