    1. I've given this a C for narration and a D for content at AudioGals.I suppose I should have known what I was letting myself in for when I read the title and synopsis of Bold Angel:“Saxon beauty Caryn of Ivesham longed to escape the chill gray cloisters of the convent to which she’d fled-but not in marriage to the towering, feared Raolfe de Gere, the Norman knight they called Ral the Relentless.”It goes on to tell how the“darkly handsome warlord’s blood coursed with desire for Caryn’s [...]

    2. This one was below the radar but turned out to be a pleasant surprise. There was lots of excitement and angsty moments. The hero made some horrible mistakes based on false premsises that hit hard. I actually cried during many of the scenes. The very end could have been fleshed out a bit more but overall, definitely one of my recent favorites.

    3. This review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceSummary Caryn of Iversham, was sent to the convent for her and her sister's own protection after they were attacked by Norman's, but one particular NormanA Knight Raolfe de Gere, saved her life. Caryn has always longed to free of the cold surroundingse years for freedom and the outdoors. 4. H and h have an MOC. He sleeps with his mistress during the early part of their marriage until consummation. Then, at a later point, H cheats on the h--because he ~can't handle his feelings~ or doesn't want to be controlled by them or some BS--with his previous mistress. He also hits the h at one point. He struck her such a blow that she reeled and slammed into the dirt. The salty taste of blood filled her mouth but Caryn welcomed it. She wished for its like and more, for in truth, she knew she de [...]

Evet, Ral'in Caryn'e davranışlarına ve umursamazl [...]

    7. Entertaining Medieval RomanceSet in England in 1072, this is the story of Caryn of Ivesham, a Saxon, who once tried to save her older sister from a brutal rape at the hand of the Norman knights, but failed. Now both are living in a convent and Caryn longs to escape.Though a series of events, Caryn finds herself betrothed to Raolfe de Gere, the Norman knight they called Ral the Relentless. He has been given Braxston Keep, once the dwelling of her Saxon family. She agrees to wed him for protection [...]

    9. I really liked this book a lot! I know this type of book is not for everyone but I'm glad I finally picked it up and gave it a try. I'm gonna have to read more of Kat Martin books in the future.

    10. Bu yorum aynı zamanda Romancekolikte yayınlanmıştır.English review; This book is my first Kat Martin novels. It's recommended from my dear friend. Because I like medieval novels but these eras novels is sometime too tough, too hard to except. But anyway I like this book but male character is like ox. And the girl characters is too naive to her own good. I understand and except it male characters motive most of the time but cheating is not my liking. And his excuse for such a thing is humorou [...]

    14. A wonderful read.Powerful and romantic that sweeps you back in time to place ruled by knights. A time ruled not by the heart but by allianceickery and greed.Young Caryn is both fiesty and headstrong, she uses both to protect herself and her older sister. But cirumstances beyond her control lead to a horrible event that leaves both of them in the care of the convent. This also brings the powerful dark knight Ral into their lives. He rides to the rescue and saves them from death. Due to her trauma [...]

    15. DNFI was squealing like a little girl through half this book. I had just finished reading the Windflower so it was pretty impressive that I was gaga over Ral.End of love. All I can say is Ral is a sonofabitch. I had no idea how much I valued fidelity until he started dipping his man-root (wtf is a man-root?!) into the hussy-root Kat Martin?! I LOVED Ral and I swear to God the change in course broke my heart. Poor Caryn. IMO, she should upend a barrel and take him over HER knee. I do not give a fi [...]

    16. One of the first romance novels I ever read--picked up at a library book sale.A story that's quite good--3-dimensional characters (even if you do want to smack the hero upside the head a few, severaltimes). But it did spark an interest in the history of the time, and I must say that Martin did her research very well, using accurate dialect and keeping true to daily life just after the Norman invasion of England.

    17. Not for me. I abhor cheating! It's a deal breaker for me. This is one of the worst freaking book I've ever read. It left me with a huge headache.

    20. Years ago, Raolfe de Gere saved Caryn of Ivesham from gang rape (unfortunately he didn't arrive soon enough to spare her sister) and delivered her to a convent. Years later, willful Caryn is about to be raped again when Ral arrives, and, out of guilt (cuz he feels like he should've prevented the rape of her sister) he claims her as his betrothed. The would-be rapist is his enemy. The claim takes on a life of its own, and before they know it the two of them are actually married. Problem: Caryn bla [...]

Neden derseniz.Bence bir kadınla evliysen metresinde olmaması lazım.A [...]

    22. Gah. It's really a challenge to think of anything good to say about this book. For a romance novel to work, the reader has to be able to care about the characters. They have to be developed and sympathetic. The characters in this book are neither. There is absolutely no character development, we see next to no motivation for when they act the way they do, and there is absolutely no spark between the leads. The plot is ramshackle and rambling, with little "events" popping up once in a while that [...]

    23. The 2 characters in this story came off a bit idiotic from time to time and that's being kind. At one point the heroine refuses to sleep with the husband because of something that she thought he had done which she wasn't really sure that he had done which she eventually found out that he hadn't really done! She practically shoves her husband into bed with another woman then has the utter nerve to get jealous while he's sleeping with the other woman. Maybe the word "communication" didn't exist in [...]

    25. Another entertaining romance that held my interest from beginning to end. I would have guessed that I had read something by Martin before but if I have, I don't remember. This was fun and in my opinion a bit silly. Caryn and Ral are meant for each other, but it takes almost the whole book for Ral to figure this out. What I found silly was the male reaction to the word love. Although no alpha male ever wants to admit that they are in love, Ral and his friend Odo were especially wary.Since I consid [...]

    26. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the love story between Caryn and Ral.When Raolfe de Gere, the Dark Knight, saves Caryn of Ivesham from the evil Lord Stephen Malvern, she is bound and determined not to give in to him as she is Saxon while he is a Norman. The Saxons were defeated by the Normans and they will always be Caryn's enemy. The more Caryn is around Ral, the more she realizes that she loves him. He never tells her that he loves her as he thinks this is a man's weakness. Malvern has not f [...]
