    1. In a nutshell: This modern story takes us to a small town in Wisconsin during December, to a family-owned newspaper that has been in business for generations. With the threat of a new newspaper coming to the area, higher costs and no real increase in subscriptions, the paper needs a miracle - or a great new editor. Joe walks into the paper as if on cue, and hope begins to stir. Will Joe's past get in the way of his success and his new-found friends? And will Joe find a faith to help him get past [...]

    2. I just read this book recently and I truly enjoyed it. The book is about a young woman who desperately want to help save her family newspaper from being taken over by another newspaper. She hires an editor to help her to do this and of course they fall in love. The novel has some red herrings in it even though it is not a mystery. Robin Shope does a great job of turning up the intensity with an interesting plot. The writing style is inviting and who can say no to a christmas romance?

    3. There is something mysterious about Joe McNamara. He seems to have demons haunting him. We are privileged to get into his head as the point of view shifts back between the protagonist and himself. The author reveals just enough of his past to intrigue you, but not quite enough to figure out exactly what happened. This book might be considered a romance, but it certainly contains an element of mystery. I’m not going to spoil the book for you so I’ll consider that enough said on this subject. [...]

    7. I loved this book - it was perfect to read this time of year also (obviously by the title!) Set in rural Wisconsin, this book talks about faith, hope in the future, following God's path for our lives - all in the midst of a love story with a twist. Lucy works at her family's newspaper in Turtle Creek, Wisconsin - a paper that she hopes someday to manage. In her search for a new editor, she hires Joe and basically it is love at first sight. However, Joe is not who he appears to be. Without spoili [...]
