    1. A good introduction to the Victoria and Albert Museum’s holdings in Japanese art and objects. The kimono and inro are gorgeous and make me wish I could wear them daily rather than our boring Western clothes. The low rating is for the writing itself. Simultaneously, it assumes you know nothing about Japanese culture but also leaves out important descriptions and assumes you know more. Frustrating.
