    1. Hard to rate a play that requires so many visual aspects when you're just reading the text, but I thought Lavery did a good job of adapting Angela Carter's short story (and I'd love to see some of the others in Carter's short story collection "The Bloody Chamber" adapted as well!)

    2. This should be enough to give any new readers of Fifty pause. I'm so glad I hadn't read this before reading Fifty, or I doubt I would have finished Fifty :PRegardless, The Bloody Chamber is utterly enthralling, and I found that the fact it only has one chapter really added to the storytelling, because even though there were no suspenseful breaks to make you go insane, it also made the story flow a lot faster, and gave it all an impression of speed and urgency that really fit with the story.
