    1. Great science book for young children. Two young kids, Emma and Owen are both excited about spring. They both go outside to the local park and play and the story goes on a science journey from there. Emerson puts in a few science fun facts for the reader throughout the pages of the story. This book introduces new vocabulary words for children about science and nature. The story makes learning about nature fun and exciting.

    2. Tags: spring, non-fiction, easy reader, science, birds, series, Read-It Readers, red levelTwo children go to the Old Oak Tree to learn about new life in the spring and how robins build their nest and hatch eggs. Simple text with only a line or two per page. Bright but simple illustrations that complement the text.

    3. I would recommend this book for 1st and 2nd grade readers. This book is about two friends and their special friend, Old Oak. The book gives students an explaination of how all living things things become busy in the spring. I would read this book while teaching about the seasons and living things. I would also use this book to illustrate changes in the weather and animals.

    4. A science easy reader, this title shows signs of spring including oak's blossoming and a nest with baby robin eggs. Illustrated and carries light story. Includes fun spring activities and a glossary.

    5. Besides the story that is within this book there are also some facts and notations that are through some of this book which brings in some non-fiction elements to learn about spring, trees and animals.

    6. Owen and Emma discover a buds appearing on a neighborhood oak tree and a robin's nest with small blue eggs.
