    1. Nana’s Getting Married (2010) Written by Heather Hartt- Sussman and Illustrated by Georgia Graham This picture book tells the story of Nana, the best grandmother in the world, and her grandson. Her grandson, used to having all of Nana’s attention, repeatedly says that he does not approve of her new boyfriend. He is angry that Nana is doing stuff that she never did before: going out on dates and spending more time with Bob, her boyfriend. Nana, aware that her grandson is feeling left out, ass [...]

    2. A young boy struggles with accepting a change in his family. His Nana is dating Bob, dressing differently, singing love songs, getting her nails done, and spending less time with him. When the boy learns his Nana will marry Bob, he does not approve. Will he learn to accept his new Nana and Bob?The text is a bit heavy for a picture book and the boy's "voice" is not unique but children experiencing a similar situation will be able to relate the mixed feelings of the main character and perhaps they [...]

    3. It wouldn't be fair to review my own book. However, i did want to thank readers, young and old, who have contacted me or posed a meaningful question during a reading. Whether it's a grandma you feel your losing, or a parent, the sense of betrayal seems to be universal to the child in all of us.Heather Hartt-Sussman

    4. I thought this book was absolutely adorable. The little boy is so worried about someone taking his dear grandmother away that he does not realize that he will be gaining a new family member, not losing one. I think small children would be able to learn one of life's little lessons from this book.

    5. Audience: This book is appropriate for prek through 3rd grade because of its clear illustrations and appropriate behavior modeling.Appeal: This is an appealing book because it shows changes in families and expresses how children can feel.Award List: None

    6. What happens when the grandchild is no longer the number one love of grandma's life? An adorable look at a hip grandma, a possessive child, and how expansion of families doesn't always mean a new baby.

    7. The little boy in this book is about to lose his grandmother to BOB, her new beau. Nana used to wear sweats and make cookies and stay home, but now Nana gets pedicures and goes dancing. Can he come to terms with Bob before the (gasp!) wedding?

    8. Read this to a room full of students of all ages (K to gr. 6) during I Love to Read Week. They gave it a thumbs-up. They even joined in with the "I for one do not approve!" and "Gross," I say. parts which was really cute.

    9. My 7 year old daughter sat down and read this book to me and she loved it. While she's not faced with the situation of having a Nana getting married, she could still enjoy the story. The illustrations also kept her interest. Loved it!

    10. a little boy's grandmother is getting remarried, adjusting to a new family member, illustrative style very expressive but faces are a touch scary, I espeically love the outfits grandma wears
