    1. Amazingly funny, mainly because it's all so believable. If you know anything about the British Army before Iraq and Afghanistan started this is a welcome reminder of how things used to be. Even more entertaining than the first book about Eddy, Picking up the Brass.Eddy, a young signaller, gets sent to Belize, where he joins a gang of misfits including one sent their to sober-up from alcoholism. Eddy quickly points out the error of this plan given that the only thing to do in Belize is drink. It [...]

    3. After reading 'Picking up the Brass' I couldn't wait to read 'The Map of Africa' and I wasn't dissapointed. Once again highly recommended for anyone in the army or anyone who served in the army. If you like this kind of read then try this: Once Upon a Time in the Army

    4. Loved every minuteIt out as well written and cover to cover full of believable stories. Great chapters and can't AIT to read Eddy next adventure's.

    5. As good as the first book.Could not put it down. This book continues Eddy's journey through his military career offering many examples of squadie antics and humour. Cant wait for the next book.
